The top monochromatic card is eligible for this months Hero Arts Challenge so I am going to enter it there.
This is the second card I sent, Its a CAS design, I think I need to study the magazine a bit closer to try and understand the style they are after.
Its the start of my half term break and I plan lots of crafting (Yipee) Have a great weekend.
These are both gorgeous, Sally! Keep submitting!
ReplyDeletebeautiful cards Sally. it's hard to know what they want, isn't it? i submitted 6 and none were picked up :) but, that's ok. i was fortunate enuf to be published once in this month's issue actually, so i'm definitely blessed. don't give up! your designs are so beautiful. xx
ReplyDeleteSally, these are both such gorgeous cards! I'm sure you will be published soon! Enjoy your half term break:)
ReplyDeleteI love both cards, Sally, especially the first one! I think you got something great going in the card submission. The first attempt is always the hardest. Now that you got your feet wet, you may as well jump in the next time around! Don't ever give up as long as you are willing and passionate about it! I wish you SUCCESS!!HUGS!
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS cards Sally!!! SO much stamping goodness and talent in both of them....hard to believe they were not picked!!! You definitely really talented....so don't give up!!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards Sally, I love that hydrangea stamp and enjoy seeing how you use it.
ReplyDeleteGood for you in submitting your cards, Sally! They are all gorgeous to me! You've inspired me to try! Hugs, Marcy XO
ReplyDeleteSally these are gorgeous! I love your style be you don't change just for a magazine, diversity is great! I love how you colored the butterfly!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are beautiful. It seems so many great cards get rejected by PC magazine. Why don't you try submitting to Stamper's Sampler or Take Ten. Both require stamping in some form for cards or projects while PC is oftentimes just die cuts and embellishments. Lately I've seen so many cards that aren't "artsy" as a lot of people think the magazines are.
ReplyDeleteYou are not alone, and don't let it get you down. Just keep submitting your beautiful creations Sally! I definitely get the feeling that they like the more CAS designs, you're right. I've tried to understand the whole process better but I just can't! Sometimes I am disheartened that I often see the same names over and over, and to be honest it does make me wonder. However, I am not prepared to feel disheartened about my card making because I believe that what I do is good and it makes me happy. So, I'm not going to get stressed about it, just keep on trying! I love your work!
ReplyDeletei am sure your work will be published in no time, Sally! you make such beautiful cards! love them both and your butterfly is so pretty! hope you have a lovely weekend! =)
ReplyDeleteSo nice that you have some time off, Sally! I've missed visiting blogs, and I loved coming here today and seeing these beautiful cards! Love them both! Good for you that you're submitting cards! If it were up to me, I would have picked them both! Hugs! :)

ReplyDeleteMe too! I think your cards are beautiful, and although I imagine it's discouraging not to get chosen, kudos to you for continuing to submit. I'm not quite brave enough (yet) to give it a shot! These two are simply lovely - I really adore the butterfly :)
