No cards today, but I wanted to share some photographs of the Watts Chapel, this Chapel is only about 2 miles from where I live in the beautiful Surrey Hills. Its a stunning Art Nouveau inspired building built by Mary and George Watts and the villagers of Compton. The art work inside is spectacular!!
This is the door in, the tiles round the arch were all made by the women of the village under Mary Watts supervision.
Sorry for the picture heavy post but I was so inspired after my visit today that I wanted to share it with you.
My son took most of these photographs, he has a better eye than me!! If you double click the photographs you will get a larger view!
Wow! What an amazing place, Sally! Thanks for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteWow! What a beautiful place. My favorite photo is the last one. I'm always drawn to the color blue. I love how the green becomes blue as your eyes travel up.
