Christmas Poinsettia!!

I don't usually play along with this challenge but when I saw the theme was Christmas and I decided to play as I still have lots of cards to make.

I used the SSS Winter flowers stamp set and stamped and embossed in gold randomly of a piece of water colour paper.  I then loosely coloured with my Zigs and lots of water.

then splashed the panel with some white paint and adhered it to a purple card blank. The sentiment is the SSS Holiday Frames die cut down and then layered up twice.

Have a great day

Poinsettia!!

Another wet and windy day in Dorset, still I have had time to make a batch of Nectarine and chilli chutney and also another Christmas card!

This time I have used the Simon Say "Winter Flowers" stamp set, I have stamped and embossed in gold then coloured the leaves with Zig markers.  I made two poinsettias and layered then up for some dimension.  Then added some gold splashes and crystal gems.

I am adding this to the SSS Flickr challenge "Emboss"  and the SSS Wednesday Challenge "Anything Goes".
Have a great day.

Christmas sparkle!

I am in the Christmas card making mood at the moment and I am also still practicing with my new camera.  This card is made using some patterned paper from my stash and some beautiful snowflake dies from Simon Says.  I have also embossed the tag with glittery embossing paste and the "Tap Dance"stencil also from Simon Says.

Here is a close up of the glittery goodness!!

A quick simple card to make but I think the snowflakes really add something!!

I am adding this card to both the Simon Says Wednesday challenge "Anything Goes" and also the SSS Flickr group challenge "Emboss it like a Boss".

We are in for some more bad weather again this weekend so I shall be busy in my craft room I hope!

Have a great weekend.

Rudolfs Gift!!

Whilst looking through my dies I found this older present  one from Simon Says so decided to make another card for the Christmas Kickstart Challenge, another shaker card but I love this type of card for Christmas, just perfect with the glittery sequins!

Lots of sparkle here as the background striped card is glittery as well as the red ribbon, even added some glitter to Rudolf scarf! The Rudolf is from a lovely set by Clearly Besotted.

Still trying to get to grips with my new camera, the card is brilliant white but its fooling the camera meter and makes it look very blue!  Obviously I need more practice with it lol!

I will also add this to the anything goes challenge at the Simon Says Wednesday blog.

Have a great weekend

Christmas Shaker!

I felt in the mood to make another Christmas card to add to my stash and when I saw the challenge at the Christmas Kickstart blog  I decided to make a shaker card.  I used the SSS Pile of Presents die to create the shaker, adding some turquoise cardstock behind for lots of shimmer.

The little penguin is from Heffy Doodle, I stamped and coloured him with Zig markers then layered up on the card.

I shall also add this to the Simon Says Wednesday challenge "Interactive cards"  I am sure a shaker must qualify!

Not great photos as I have a new camera and I am still getting used to it, I think all the shimmer from the acetate fooled it!!

Have a great day.

Anniversary card!

After another busy couple of weeks and some lovely time away in Cornwall I have found time to make an Anniversary card for a friend.  I used Simon Says stamps and stencils to create this card.
Embossing the flowers in gold and colouring with Zigs.

I shall enter this in the current Simon Says Flickr Challenge.

Hope to get back to my card making this week, the weather has turned Autumnal now and we have rain forecast for the next week or so.  Missing the summer already!!

Have a great week,

Thanks!

We are off on holiday next week but before we go I wanted to make another card using the Autumnal colours and theme as I love oranges and yellows, so bright and pretty!!

For this card I use the Simon Says "Centre Cut Flower" stamp again and just embossed in gold ,coloured and cut out the leaves, I also used the leaves from the "Even more Spring Flowers "set.

The frames was made from a scrap from my basket, its just the edge of a panel I made for another card.

As you can see I also added some splatters and the die cut sentiment, also from Simon Says.

I am adding this to the SSS Wednesday Challenge "Stamp It" and the SSS Flickr challenge "Falling for Fall", I will also add it to the SSS Instagram challenge.

Looking forward to my holiday hope you all have a great week too.

Autumnal Birthday!

I have been struggling with my card making as I lost my reading glasses last week, I am using an older pair until I get my eyes tested again in a couple of weeks but these are really old and not so good!!
I did manage to get this autumnal Birthday card made using Simon Says Centre Cut Flowers stamp.

I embossed in gold and then coloured in autumnal colours using my Zig markers, I then fussy cut the image and layered up onto some purple card stock.  I then stamped a few extra leaves coloured and layered up onto the image.

The die cut sentiment is also from Simon Says.  I am going to add this to a couple of challenges,  the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Stamp It" and the Simon Says Flickr Challenge "Falling for Fall"

I am going away for a few days holiday next week to St Ives in Cornwall, just hoping the weather perks up as its been really autumnal here today.

A card at Last!!

Its been such a busy Summer and I have had hardly anytime in my craft room, we have had lots of visitors ( that's what happens when you live near the sea lol) and the weather has been glorious.
At last I had time to make this card for the "Christmas Kickstart Challenge #18".

The challenge is to use their header as inspiration.

So I decided to make a shaker card using the Simon Says Stamp "Holiday Frame" die and adding lots of sequins for sparkle. The background paper is  turquoise and sparkly which doesn't really show up in the photo.  The snowman is from the Heffy Doodles "Wanna build a snowman" stamp set which I have coloured with Zig markers.  I then layered up onto a Turquoise card base.

I am also adding this card to the current Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Anything Goes"
We have another couple of busy weeks coming up but I hope to fit in some card making too.

New Cards!!

It seems ages since I have posted on my blog!!  We have been away for a while house sitting at my cousins house again and looking after all his animals and then when we got home we had a major computer failure!!  It was a complete disaster but after a week at the repair shop it seems to be up and running again although the computer techie man says its getting old and we are going to need a new one soon!! Aaaagh I hate having to set everything up again, lets hope it lasts longer than he thinks!

At least I have had time to make a couple of cards although I have also had trouble with my mojo !  This first card is for the Simon Says Flickr Challenge "One Layer" .  I used the centre Cut Flowers and stamped and embossed in white.  I then coloured with my Zigs and cut out the hexagonal shape,  adhering another hexagonal to the back to form the card.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts and  embossed in Rose Gold powder.

This second card used a panel that I had coloured in my stash made from the Simon Says Gerbera background, I layered it up and added the die cut sentiment.  I will add this to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge  "Add a Die Cut".

Hope you are having a great weekend
