I like these colours together and am pleased with the alternative Christmas palette. I will also add this card to the current SSS Flickr Group challenge "Anything Goes".

I have just got the new Mini Slimline Rectangle and the Mini Slimline Windows dies from Simon Says so have made a pop up Christmas Scene card to try them out! I have made myself a cloud stencil with some card and a cloud punch so the background sky was easy to make using Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink. I then added some splatters of white gouache. The house and tree die cut is an older one from Memory Box and I have coloured this adding some Nuvo glimmer paste for added sparkle. The two reindeers are stamped and coloured with Zig markers. They are from the Lets Prance set from Clearly Besotted.
I shall add this card to the Simon Says Flickr challenge "Anything Goes".
Looking forward to the weekend when hopefully I can get in the garden, hope you have a great weekend.

The "Lets's Squash it "Challenge this month is "Nature and Watercolouring", so I decided to make a Christmas card using my Simon Says Forest Border die. First I inked the embossing folder with Mowed Grass and Salty Ocean Distress inks , spritzed with water and ran through my Sizzix machine using water colour cardstock. I then used these colours on my acrylic block added water and coloured the background to make the colours richer.
Its cold and wet here today, not like summer at all so I am in my craft room creating and wishing for the sun to return soon!

I decided to ink up my Tim Holtz cocktail stamps again and make this feminine Birthday card. I created the background by making a stencil with this Happy Birthday die and rubbing with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink. Really pleased with how this turned out and I shall be hunting through my dies to see if there are any others I can do this with.
I then stamped and coloured the Tim Holtz Margarita cocktail and fussy cut, I also stamped directly onto the card, that way I could add the image on foam tape for added dimension. I then added sequins and some nuvo glitter to the rim of the glass for some added sparkle.

I shall add this card to the Die Cut Divas challenge of "Birthdays" and also the Simon Says Instagram challenge.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

The Christmas Kickstart Challenge this month is "The Stockings were hung by the chimney with care"
I looked through my stamps and found this really old stocking stamp from Hero Arts so I stamped it five times and fussy cut then coloured with Zig markers.
Another card for my Christmas stash which is always a good feeling.

For the background I used a Poppy Stamps "Happy Birthday background" die cut in blue. I then added an cycling image I found on google raised on pop dots. Its a very simple card but hopefully is getting me back into crafting after a week off.
I am adding this card to the "Happy Birthday" challenge over at Die Cut Divas. and the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge "All things masculine" also the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Masculine"

I had a second go at the flower vase card after following Jennifer McGuires technique video here.
I found some more flower dies that I got years ago from Sizzix and Cuttlebug and cut loads of bright coloured flowers, colouring some and adding pearls for sparkle. The box for the base I made up myself.
I am thrilled with this second effort, its so pretty and a perfect card for my SIL's Grandma's birthday.
Looking forward to half term next week as at last my family can come and stay for a while, Its been 8 long months and I can't wait to have them stay. Looks like the weather might cheer up at last too.
Enjoy your week

I was lucky enough to win a gift card for Simon Says last month and my goodies arrives yesterday so I couldn't wait to have a play with them .
I cut some card blanks with the Mini Slimline Rectangles and also cut the Mini Slimline Window. On the background card piece I used the Spring Flower stencil and Oxide inks and then layered up the window die on foam pads.
The flowers and leaves are from the "Even more Spring Flowers " stamp set and I have embossed in gold, coloured with Zigs Brush markers and fussy cut. The thanks die is also by Simon Says.
I am really pleased with my purchases and am sure they will get a lot of use!

I then added some red crystals for the berries for extra sparkle. The sentiment is also Hero Arts and I embossed it in gold onto some vellum before attaching to the base. I then layered it all up on a red card .
At last we have reached another stage out of lockdown and we will be able to have visitors at home! I am really looking forward to my kids joining us as they haven't been able to visit since last October. We are going to celebrate Christmas in May lol!!
Have a great week
