New Stamps!!

Last weekend I went to an amazing Craft Show in Farnborough called "Make It" there was lots of fabulous crafts to see plus some great stalls for buying, needless to say I came away with lots of crafty goodies.  The Heffy Doodle stand was amazing and I was tempted by so many things, and came away with this lovely "Elephant of Surprise" stamps with dies and also this gorgeous "Wanna Build a Snowman " set.

I couldn't wait to ink them up and made this Baby girl card using Altenew's Bold Alphabet dies and some patterned paper.  Really love the elephants, I am sure this set will be well used.

Adding this card to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Anything Goes"

Christmas Kickstart Challenge

Gosh another two weeks have flown by and its time again for the "Christmas Kickstart Challenge" This time the challenge is "Have a Bear-y Christmas" , if you follow my blog you will know that this is not my style at all, I usually stick to flowers so this one was a real challenge for me.  I didn't have a suitable image so found this freebie on Pinterest.

First I printed it onto some white card and then coloured with Zig Brush Markers, I also added some Glittery Nuvo paste for the snow , although this doesn't really show up in the photo.  Next I die cut into a circle and used an old Spellbinders die for the background shape.  The sentiment is computer generated. I had fun colouring this so perhaps I need to do more cutsie cards!!

This next card is for my God Daughters little boy, he loves dinosaurs so again found these images on the internet and made this shaker card.

Its been such a lovely week here, the weather has been beautiful, but its all set to change again so I am off to do a bit of gardening.

Have a great week.

Cosmos Flowers!

While I had this Simon Says Cosmos Flower stamp on my desk I decided to ink it up again and do some more colouring.  This time I inked and embossed in gold before colouring with Zig Brush Markers.

Love the vibrant pink, yellow and blue together, so pretty!! Just added the computer generated sentiment and voila!

Adding this to the current Simon Says Flickr Group challenge "Lets Colour"

Christmas Kickstart Challenge#4

Gosh another fortnight has gone by and its time for another Christmas Kickstart Challenge,  Challenge #4 is "Have a Heart"  this challenge just needs a heart somewhere on your card and I have managed to add 3, they are really small but there are 3.  The heart shaped buttons on the little bunny and also the heart shaped bead on the band attached.  There is also a sketch to use if you wish but I like to do my own thing, a sketch is a challenge to far LOL.  I have had this stamp for years, its by Penny Black and its dated 1996, definitely an oldie but goodie!!

I just coloured with Zig Markers and layered it up on some glitter card and some snow embossed white card. The beads I have also had in my stash for ages, it definitely feels good using my older stuff although I do need a bit of a de clutter!

Its been a lovely sunny couple of days here and it seems like spring is definitely in the air.

Have a great weekend

Interactive Valentine.

The Wednesday challenge this week at Simon Says is "Interactive Cards"  , the only interactive cards I have attempted before were Shaker cards but after seeing some of Jennifer Mcquires pop up window cards I was keen to have a go. Made this mini card for Valentines using Sugar Peas Caring Critters stamp which I have coloured with Zigs.

When the card is open the monkey and sparkly balloons are in view.

I found it a bit fiddly to make as the card is only 4in by 3in, but it was worth it as I like the finished design.
I am also adding this to the Love Flickr group challenge "Anything Goes."

Hope you are having a great weekend and keeping warm if you are still experiencing snow.

Digital Birthday!

I have just found this gorgeous digital image and would you believe its a Freebie from this fun stamp company Uniko.  They have some gorgeous stamps too , I am sure to be buying some of these beauties!

For this card I printed the image onto some brilliant white smooth cardstock and then cut with my Simon Says Stitched Square dies.  I then coloured with Zig Brush Markers.  Next I mounted onto a blue card base and added the layered up Simon Says Birthday sentiment.  Lastly added a few pearls for a bit of sparkle an Voila!! a simple but pretty card to add to my stash.

I am going to add this to the Uniko's 7th Birthday party challenge and also the Simon Says Flickr Groups "Anything Goes Challenge".

All the snow has now melted here in Dorset and the weather has got warmer and brighter, hopefully that's the last of the snow for this winter!!  Hope its better weather where you are!

Thinking of Spring Flowers!!

We have had quite a bit of snow over the past couple of days, this is my back garden, it looks so pretty at the moment.  But I cant stop thinking about spring and having some colour in my garden.

This is the view from my craft room, I am so lucky as its a gorgeous view and it inspires me to create, I just needed some pretty colours!!

I have used Simon Says "Spring Flowers for this, stamping and embossing in gold before colouring with Zig markers and fussy cutting.

I then layered up some die cut rectangles and layered up the flowers and leaves.  Next I added some pearls and the die cut sentiment ,also from Simon Says. I left it clean and simple as I wanted the flowers to shine!

I have added this card to both the Simon Says Flickr Challenge and the Simon Says Wednesday challenge which are both "Anything Goes".

The snow is due to melt tomorrow and hopefully it is warming up a little.  Have a lovely weekend.
