Christmas is coming!

As promised here are some more Christmas cards, three different cards but there seems to be a bit of a blue theme!!  This first card uses a Memory Box die and some glittery card. The sentiment is an oldie by Hero Arts.

This next card uses another old Hero Arts stamp, "Winter Town" I have stamped it with Faded Jeans Distress ink and cut with a Spellbinders oval die before framing with some glitter card.  The tree is the Hero Arts "Layered Tree."

The third card is based on the last one but this time I have made it into a shaker card.

Have a great weekend.

A Walk in the Park

No cards today, we have had a beautiful sunny day so the perfect opportunity to go for a walk in Petworth Park a huge deer park in the ground of Petworth House just up the road from us.  It was a photographers dream today as the lighting was perfect. Here are a few snaps from the day.
First some beautiful Toadstools.

The glorious Autumnal colours.

Some of the deer, these were eating chestnuts that were falling off the trees.

 Mum feeding her young.

Lastly a stag enjoying some acorns.

I shall post some more cards later in the week.

Snowflakes and Holly!

I am still trying to build up my Christmas card stash for this year, here are a couple of cards using older stamps and dies.  This first card uses the Hero Arts Classic Holly Cling, I have camouflage stamped and die cut the Happy to add some dimension.

Here is a close up. I am adding this card to the current Hero Arts Challenge "Holiday Cardmaking."

For this second card I used some old Snowflakes dies and some Peacock Distress ink.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend.

More Gift Boxes

Here are a couple more of the gift boxes I have made for Christmas.  They are very simple to make but look so pretty.

For the fisrt box I have dry embossed half the box with snowflakes then wrapped a silver ribbon round.  The snowflake is made up of  embossed die cuts.

Here is a close up I used gold embossing, clear sparkle and white pearly embossing powder.

The second box is also dry embossed then wrapped with a ribbon and twine, I then added die cut baubles and the tag.  I am adding these to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Wrap it Up."

Have a great weekend.

Christmas Pillow Box

I have been playing with my new Poinsettia Stamp and Die from Hero Arts and making some Pillow Boxes ready for Christmas.  First I stamped the poinsettia in green then stamped the outline stamp twice onto red card and embossed in gold.  I fussy cut the top two layers and added sparkle with my Touch of Stella Pen. I also added some gold coloured pearls and some Glossy Accent to the centre of the flower.  The Pillow Box was cut on my Silhouette.   Then I  dry embossed one end of the box for some added texture.

I am adding the to the Make the Day Special "Anything but a card" Challenge.

Its a very wet dull day here in Surrey so perfect for a crafting afternoon.

More Christmas Cards.

The weather has turned a lot colder here recently so there is plenty of time to crack on with my Christmas cards (too cold in the garden now)!!  I have been inking up my Poinsettia stamps from Hero Arts, experimenting with different inks.  This first card is just stamped using the new Ombre ink , I have stamped it twice and layered up the middle petals on pop dots for dimension.  I have also layered up the frame.  Pleased with this one, I like the white edges to the petals.

For the second card I have stamped the flower outline and coloured with copic markers.  I have also added a piece of glitter card for some sparkle.  I am adding both cards to the new challenge at Hero Arts "Holiday Cards".

A Box and A Card!!

I wanted to have a go at this (new to me) challenge at the "Make The Day Special Stamp Store" The challenge set is "Anything but a Card" so I decided to make a gift box with matching tag with the new Hero Arts Layering Tree stamp and Die, my favorite go to stamp and die for this years Christmas cards!!  I made my box using a template I have had for a couple of years (not sure where I got it) I then used a spellbinders oval die for the handle and glittery trim.  All the stamps used are Hero Arts, the snowman and sky background are last years.  I have added some bells to the tree tag for a Christmas tinkle!

Here is a side view of the circle snowflake stamp, white embossed and distressed, the other sides I have left blank.

This next card is for the Hero Arts Challenge," Holiday Cardmaking" Its another take on my previous posts card, this time I have tried to create a sunset.

Hope you are all having a great week.

White Christmas.

I am really in the mood for making my Christmas cards at the moment and have been p[laying with my Hero Arts Layering Christmas Tree stamps again.  This is a CAS design made for the challenge at Simon Says  "CAS Christmas"and also the new Hero Arts monthly challenge "Holiday Cards".
Its a very simple deisigne using some Memory Box dies and my stamped Christmas Tree, I have also added some glitter which has photographed very pink but is sparkly white in real life.

Its turned quite cold here this week, time to put on the heating and getting out my warmer clothes.

More Christmas Cards

Another card for the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge this week "CAS Christmas".  I have used my Memory Box dies to create this card and added a watercolour background and some glitter for added sparkle.

Also I have had another go at this card using a different colour for the background, making it "sunny" rather than night!

Hope you are enjoying your weekend.

CAS Christmas!

This weeks Wednesday Challenge at Simon Says is "Clean and Simple"  and this is my card.  I have just received the new Colouring Layer Christmas Tree stamp from Hero Arts with the matching Die and wanted to ink it up.  I have inked and then with the last layer white embossed to look like snow.   I have layered it onto some watercolour paper that has been stamped and embossed with the Circle Snowflake stamp and then washed with distress ink.

Just a short post as the sun is shining and we are off for a walk.

Water colours at last!

I love all the watercolour cards around at the moment but have always struggled with the technique myself.  Then I saw this amazing card by Lindsey and after watching her excellent video I had to have a go myself.  I have CASED her fabulous card here.  (Thank you Lindsey, I couldn't have managed it without you.)

I am very pleased with the result and will definitely be trying this again.
