Just Playing!!

I have had time to have a play with my stamps and dies today and this is the card I have made.  I have used my Memory Box "Ringo Tile" die to create the fancy edge to the top card. An idea I have seen on Debby's  Blog and was keen to try myself.  Love the effect!!

The weather has got a bit warmer here again, Spring is definitely in the air!!

Here is a card I have made for the Simon Says Wednesday challenge which this week is "Anything Goes with Buttons"  I received the die cut image in a little package from lovely Lisa and decided to use it on my card.  The wooden buttons have been in my stash for a while and fitted over the heart shape perfectly.

Hope you are having a good week, I have one more week of school and then two weeks off for Easter, I can't wait!!  Just hope the weather gets a bit warmer!

"Glitter it"

One of the latest trends seems to be adding a little sparkle to your cards, now I love a bit of bling!! and couldn't wait to get my hands on the new "Wink of Stella" pens.  The pen seems very similar to my Sakura Stardust pen but I am thrilled with the added sparkle to my cards.

This card is for the Wednesday challenge over at the Simon Says Blog, I have added lots of sparkle to my card.
I have used a new Memory Box die called Ringo Tile to make a stencil, I then sponged on different Distress inks over the stencil and then added a "Wink of Stella" to the Distress colours.  Not easy to see in the photographs but it really has a gorgeous sparkle.  Next I cut the sentiment with my Silhouette and added some gems.

The weather has turned cold again here this weekend, we had been rather spoilt over the past couple of weeks and now we are all back to jumpers and coats!!  I hope its a bit warmer where you are.

A New Challenge!!

I have just got back from a couple of weeks house sitting and have found that there is a new challenge blog called Virginia's View.  I have long been a follower of Virginias Blog so had to take part in this challenge which is cards with Water colouring. Here is my card, a CAS design but with I have water coloured the flower stems with Distress stains.  Both the Dies are from Memory Box and the sentiment is Hero Arts.

For the past two weeks I have been house sitting in the country for my cousin, he has the most amazing garden with lots of wildlife visiting every day. Here are some photos.  The top one is of the Goldfinches and Blue Tits feeding.

Here is a very well fed Blue Tit.

Not a great photo but at night a badger visits, we left out some peanuts for him!

We have had some beautiful weather over the last few days and spring is on the way at last!

Have a great week, I hope to catch up with some of my favourite blogs this week!
