Another teachers thank you card.

I am so busy at school as its the last week of term, its been so tiring that as soon as I get in all I want to do is put my feet up in front of the TV.  Too tired even to craft so I am sharing a card I made to submit to a magazine, unfortunately it was rejected, so here we are another Teachers thank you.  The theme the magazine wanted us to use was "Use your sentiments in an unusual way"  I thought this fitted the bill perfectly but obviously it wasn't what they were after!!

On Sunday we went to visit Francesca in Taunton, she has just passed her course and is now a qualified teacher.  I am one proud mum!!!  We took her out for a meal in Glastonbury and then decided to climb the famous Tor.  Here are a few photos...The view from the top is spectacular!  It wasn't a very bright day but at least it didn't rain.

I hope to make some cards next week, I can't wait for the holidays!!

Sally, your card is adorable! I love the way you created the sentiment branch and the pp apples are beautiful! Your card fitted the bill perfectly and I could imagine it being published in a magazine:)

Big congrats to Francesca, no wonder you're a proud mum! Loved seeing your photos - the scenery is spectacular and obviously with all the greenery you're having as much rain as we are!

That is a darling card! The paper piecing is beautiful, and the sentiment for branches is clever. The word, "rejected" is really harsh. We enter our cards into challenges all the time, and some of our own favorites don't make it, but we know that there are elements about our cards that are inspiring to others, and encourage others along. This is one of those cards! Congrats to your daughter, and thanks for those gorgeous shots of the view!

Ian and I stopped in Glastonbury on June 5th (coach tour of Britain and Ireland). Had lunch at the King William Pub. We almost drowned running from the coach to the Pub.

Congratulations on your daughter's success from one retired teacher to a new one!

Sally, as I said in my post to you at flickr, submit it somewhere else, or even for another call at the same mag, if it fits - I did one 3 times before it was chosen - nevah give up! :)) LOVE these beautiful photos of your countryside - thanks so much for sharing them. Congrats to your daughter!
