At last another card!!!

Oh my goodness I don't like the start of a new school year, we have all been so busy at work, the list of jobs seems endless.  The school has had 95 new starters this week and it takes a long time to settle them all in when they are so young.  Needless to say I have been so tired the crafting has taken a back seat again.  I did manage to make this card though.  I felt like playing with my Distress inks and some resist emboss.

I have stamped the "Happy definition" stamp and embossed followed by the "leaf and flower background" next I distressed with various green and blue distress inks. I am really pleased with the end result perfect for an Anniversary card for my friend.

I am looking forward to the weekend now so I can relax a bit...

Have a great weekend too.

I know how you feel , it is a very busy time if you work in a school. This is a gorgeous card and I love the technique you've used I must get myself motivated to give it a go.

You continue to be an inspiration. Gorgeous feel to the card.

Thanks, Sally

PS Retired primary teacher here. I get tired just remembering Septembers....but I also miss that excitement!

It will all get done and life will settle down to a dull roar soon enough....usually after Christmas.

Sally this is such a pretty soft design, with such muted colour palette. Thanks for supporting my blog too and for your lovely comments.

Gorgeous! I love the silver pearls, they make such a lovely butterfly body. And the resist emboss looks like fun - I picked up some new colours & should really get messy with them to get comfy!
Adjusting to the beginning of the year is so stressful - we've got tears every day from my youngest, who I JUST told an hour ago "by Christmas you'll feel like you've been there forever, and it will get easier every day before that." Too bad there isn't some magic wand to wave & make it happen faster!
