I have been experimenting with my Distress Markers again, they are perfect to create shabby chic cards as the colours are not to bright. This Hydrangea stamp is also the perfect stamp as it has a lot of definition to the petals and leaves. The background writing is an old Hero Arts stamp that I have been hunting for, for ages. Its called Italian Poetry Background , the script is so beautiful and perfect for cards like this, I was lucky enough to find it on ebay last week and couldn't wait to ink it up. After stamping the flower I have added some water for a smudged look.
This card is for the current Hero Arts Birthday challenge and the Simon Says 3rd Birthday challenge.
Its a long Bank Holiday weekend in the UK and I had been planning to get into the garden but the weather is so wet and cold I am going to craft instead!!!
Hope you have a great weekend.

Gorgeous card, I really like your style. I'm curious about the Distress Markers, haven't purchased any yet... did you apply them direct to the hydrangea stamp? Beautiful vintage results.
Gorgeous, Sally! Love the distressed edges & the pink twine :)
