I decided to have another play with watercolours and my new SSS Winter Flowers, really enjoyed making this card but went for a lighter background this time. The sentiment is computer generated, this is a nice flat card so easy for mailing out!!
I shall add this to the SSS Wednesday Challenge which this week is "Anything Goes".
Just a quick post today as the weather is cold but sunny and I want to get into the garden to do some tidying.
Have a great week.

More Snowflakes!!
After making my last card the glitter card I used for cutting my snowflakes made a fabulous stencil to use for the background on this card. I dabbed the stencil shapes with "Salty Ocean" Distress Oxide then embossed with a glittery embossing powder. I then added some snowflakes and gems and mounted onto a blue base card.
I shall add this card to the current SSS Flickr Challenge "Let your stencils shine". Another Christmas card for my box Yeah!!
Have a great week.

Snowflakes!!
I have just got some new Snowflake dies from Simon Says Stamp and couldn't wait to use them on a card. I cut them in glitter card stock then layered up. On my background I used the "Falling Snow" stencil and some Nuvo Glimmer Paste (another new purchase for me and I love the effect, so pretty!!)
I then layered it all up and added the "Holiday Frames" also from Simon Says.
Really pleased with the finished card, so sparkly and pretty!! I am adding this to the current Simon Says Flickr challenge "Let your stencils shine"
Have a great Sunday.

Card for Joni !
My son asked me to make a Birthday card for his friends little girl who is 4 next week. I made her big sister a shaker card back in September and it proved a huge success so I decided to make Joni one too. I won this older set of stamps "Surf and Turf"from Paper Smooches a while back and thought it would fit the bill perfectly. I cut the 4 using my Silhouette machine then coloured the card with Distress Oxide Salty Ocean splashing with water to create the sea effect. Then I coloured and fussy cut the fish to add to the card, the sentiment is computer generated.
I am adding this card to this weeks challenge at the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Animal Antics"
I also found time to play with my new Winter Flowers stamp set from Simon Says, I stamped and embossed in white onto watercolour paper then randomly painted with my Zig Brush markers and lots of water. I then die cut the letters using Altenew's Bold Alphabet dies. Just added some sequins for sparkle! I shall add this card to the current Simon Says Flickr group challenge "Anything Goes"
Hope you have a great weekend.

New Stamp and Die!!
I have just got the Simon Says Stamp "Winter Flowers" stamp set and the Holiday Frames die so just had to have a play! After inking and embossing the Poinsettia in white I smooshed on some Festive Berries ink to create the background, I then added the frame die cut, next I stamped and embossed the Poinsettia again this time in gold onto white card and vellum. After fussy cutting the flowers I layered up with a pop dot and attached it to the frame. Last of all I added some sparkle with Gems and sequins.
I am adding this to two Flickr challenges, the Simon Says Flickr Group and the Love Handmade Cards Group, both of these challenges are "Anything Goes".
Have a great week

A Christmas Gift Box.
Decided to make another gift box for the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Anything but a card"
I used an old template that I have (not sure where it originally came from but there are loads on Pinterest ) Then after cutting out I masked up the front panel and stamped with some older snowflake stamps from Hero Arts and then embossed in white. I then rubbed over Salty Ocean Distress Oxide. Next I added some torn white embossed card for the snow. The tree is also an older Hero Arts stamp, just added the bells and bow.
Hope you are having a great weekend, its blowing a gale here so I am tucked up in my craft room playing with some new stamps and dies :0)

Place Setting Gift Boxes!
Just had a fantastic fun weekend with three of my friends visiting from Surrey, we did lots of crafting and lots of sightseeing too. Love catching up with them. I decided I wanted to make a little table setting gift for them and made these gift boxes to hold a small hand cream tube. Now they have visited I can share them with you.
I used a pattern I found on Pinterest for the box bases, then I stamped and embossed in gold the "Beautiful Day" set from Altenew. For each box I cut two flowers , layering up the centre piece to create lots of dimension. I then added the lattice die cut with the flowers and lots of pearls.
As you can see the hand cream fits in a treat.
I have made these before with a Christmas theme, they are also perfect fit for a Nail Varnish, see here and here.
I am adding these to the current Wednesday Challenge at Simon Says Stamp "Anything but a card"
Looking forward to the weekend now and my son is visiting, he has just been to the Los Angeles to be a Groomsman at a friends wedding and while he was there he managed to get me some stamping goodies. So excited!!

Christmas Shaker!!
I am starting to build up my Christmas Card stash ands had fun making this shaker card. I cut mini windows in my card with the small Stitched Square die from Simon Says. Then I stamped up and coloured these mini Santa's from Hero Arts. I then fussy cut and added them inside my windows before adding the acetate for the shaker element.
I then just added the mini snowflakes, decided not to add a sentiment as I rather like the CAS look. I shall add this to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Lets get ready for Christmas!"
Its feeling really autumnal here today and I have spent the day in the garden getting it ready for winter.
Hope you have a great week

My Guest Designer Slot!!!
I love to take part in challenges as it stretches my creativity, making me try new things! One of my favourite challenges to take part in is the one at the Simon Says Stamp Flickr group so I was thrilled when I was approached by Barb to be the Guest Designer for the #107 challenge "Do it with Dimension".
Well as you can imagine I set to work straight away and came up with these cards.
For my first card I decided to make a shaker (Love making these) I used the SSS Stitched Square dies to create the frame. The flowers are from the SSS "Spring Flowers " which I stamped, embossed in silver, coloured with Zigs and fussy cut, layering up to create lots of dimension. Always love a bit of bling lol!
My second card again used the "Stitched Square dies" and the " Cosmos Flower Background" , I stamped the flowers with Distress ink then cut the squares. I then coloured the central square with my Zigs and layered up on a white frame. Added the " Thanks" die cut and some sequins for sparkle.
For my last card I went with a Christmas theme as I have loads to make in the next few months. For this card I used the "Kaleidoscope Background" stamping and embossing once in gold and again in white. I fussy cut four of the flower shapes from the white image and coloured with a red Zig pen, then layering two together to form a flower. After die cutting the gold image I then layered on the red flowers adding a pearl for shimmer.
I really enjoyed making these cards and hope that maybe you will find time to play along with this challenge.
Have a great week.

Happy Birthday!
Had another chance to play this weekend as the weather here is terrible, gale force winds and heavy rain. Autumn is here with a vengeance!!
Made another card for the "Totally Resistible" challenge at the SSS Flickr Group. This time I stamped and embossed the "Cosmos" flower background in white onto water colour paper. Then I had fun colouring with my Zig Markers and lots of water. Love my Zig Markers the colours are so vibrant and cheerful especially on a dark, wet and windy day. Die cut the Happy letters with the Altenew alphabet dies and added the Birthday die cut using a Simon Says die.
Also adding this to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Bling it on" as I have added sequins for added sparkle.
I am hoping the weather cheers up next week as we have a garden landscaping project on and I want to get cracking with it before it really gets cold and wintery.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend.
Hugs
Sally
