After making the baby boy card I thought I would make a couple of girl ones as well. The first one is based on a card I saw on Lucys blog and thought it was really cute. The second is one I have made for my son to give to a friend who has just had a little girl. After working with blue I had to go back to pink my favourite colour scheme on cards.

Hero Arts Challenge
This weeks Hero Arts challenge is to make a card with an image on that you have coloured. This was definately out of my comfort zone and I struggled with this challenge. Iused co-ordinations paper for the background embossed with swiss dots and sanded. The paper is Basic Grey.

Baby Boy Shaker
Made this card for a girl at work who is expecting a baby boy next month. I really enjoy making shaker cards. Stamped and coloured the image with copics then added a bit of sparkle to the towel. I have a list of events to make cards for and wanted to try and make as many as I can before I go back to school next week.

Caardvarks challenge
I'm still on holidays!! I work in the local school and we don't go back till next Wednesday so plenty of time to play! This is another entry for the caardvarks challenge. I love these colours together. Have made a window card and placed a stamped and embossed image of Hero Arts Antique brocade in the window. Die cut lots of flowers and glued together to make a chain and fixed them over the window. Then added lots of buttons and gems .

Isabella's Exploding Box
I have been wanting to make one of these boxes for ages, the first birthday of my best friends, daughters, baby gave me the perfect opportunity. Its taken me a few weeks to fully complete it but I am really pleased with the result. I have put a little wooden ladybird in the middle as a little extra present.

Hero Arts Challenge
Have just completed my entry for this weeks Hero Arts Challenge called Mail it. I have made this card to send to my daughter at university, although we talk alot I thought she would like to receive this card in the post.
Used Basic Grey papers for the background and my new Hero Arts Stamp, silhouette flowers on the cream circle. Heat embossed with clear added lace and pearls. The butterfly is cut from an old Coke can and embossed using a cuttlebug die then inked with Ranger alchohol inks.
Old cards
I've been away for a short holiday so no cards to post yet, although I did visit my favourite craft shop on the way to our hotel on the coast. Got some great new Hero Art stamps and lots of other exciting bits. Can't wait to play with them all. I thought I would add an old card (One that I really enjoyed making) Its very plain only the two colours but I am pleased with the effect. Lots of dry embossing and the background is heat embossed in cream to add more texture.

More cards with my new stamp!
Just thought I would add a couple more cards using my new brocade stamp. With the first one I stamped and embossed the image with translucent white embossing powder then I rubbed over fired brick distress ink from Ranger. Lastly I sprayed it with a fine mist of water and gold perfect pearls. When it dries it gives the card a lovely golden shimmer.
The second one uses versamarker ink and then its brushed with gold perfect pearls. After that just spray with a light mist of water to set the gold. Added my favourite christmas stamp that I coloured with copics. The stamp is from Rubber Stampede and is about five years old but I still love it.

Stamps used are Hero Arts CG102 Antique Brocade for the background. Followed Jennifer McGuires "Thinking Inking" technique from "Twopeasinabucket"
