I couldn't resist having another go with this cute little Gnome die from Simon Says, this time making a shaker card. Had a few problems with my photo as the acetate was very reflective today !! We have actually had some sun for a change!!
The Merry Christmas frame die is also from Simon Says, I shall add this card to the current Christmas Kickstart Challenge "Red " . Also the SSS Wednesday Challenge "Add a sentiment"
As the rain had stopped we are off for a walk, hope the weather is good where you are.

I was lucky enough to win a Gift card for Simon Says recently and have just received my order. One of my purchases was this cute Li'l Gnome die which I couldn't wait to play with. I cut him in red card and added the gingham, beard and nose.
The background piece of card I have distressed with Salty Ocean and Cracked Pistachio ink before adding the snow with my SSS falling snow stencil.
I then added the frame and snowflakes, such a cute Gnome and I know he is going to be well used!!
I am adding this card to the Christmas Kickstart Challenge ,which this month is "RED" and the SSS Flickr Group challenge "Anything Goes"
Have a great weekend

I am trying to practice my water colouring skills and after seeing this amazing card over at the very talented Debby's blog I was inspired. My water colour palette is very small and only has limited colours so I used my Zig markers, brushing them onto my acrylic block and using water and a paint brush.
I stamped with Frayed Burlap Distress ink onto water colouring paper and painted using Debby's flower as a guide for shadows. I then fussy cut adding another flower from a Altenew set and layered up onto some patterned paper.
I then added a gold die cut sentiment from Simon Says.
Definitely more practice needed but it was fun and very therapeutic.
I shall add this card to the current Simon Says Flickr challenge "Anything Goes" and their Instagram challenge "Birthdays".

The Christmas Kickstart challenge helped me so much to get ahead with my cardmaking last year that it was a no brainer to take part again this year.
This months theme is "Red" a great Christmas colour so I got out my Simon Says Winter Flowers stamp set and gold embossed the flowers and some leaves to the top of a white blank.
I then loosely water coloured with my Zig markers and plenty of water , I then just layered onto a red card blank and added the die cut gold sentiment using a Heffy Doodles Die. Simple but effective !
Next project is some birthday cards as my stock is getting very low, still should have plenty of time to craft this weekend when the storm blows in !!
Have a great weekend

I made this card just after Christmas for my daughters friend who loves penguins, now she has had the card I can post here.
Used the Heffy Doodles "Wanna Build a Snowman " set which I stamped coloured and fussy cut.
The letter dies are by Altenew, I cut 3 sets and layered them up for dimension onto some patterned paper, I also pop dotted the penguins.
I shall add this to the "Anything Goes" challenge at the Flickr Love handmade cards group and the Simon Says Instagram challenge.
Its been dreadful weather here lately and we are due another storm at the weekend so I think I will be busy creating as I have lots of birthdays coming up.
Hope the weather is better where you are

I made this Birthday card for a friend and now its been received I can post it here. Starting with a white blank I blended Salty Ocean and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink and let dry before stamping and embossing in silver the Star Flower Background from Simon Says!
I then coloured in the hearts with a silver pen and adding dots with some silver Nuvo drops.
The sentiment is an oldie from Hero Arts which I have again stamped and embossed in silver before fussy cutting and layering up on the card with pop dots and some silver wire.
I will add this card to both the Flickr Simon Says challenge "Ink Blending" and the Flickr Love Challenge "Anything Goes.
also Simon Says Stamp Wednesdays challenge "Anything Goes".
Spring is beginning to show signs of arriving here the snowdrops are appearing, took the photos when we went on a walk yesterday.
