Little Easter Boxes!

I decided to make these table treat boxes for Easter that can be filled with mini eggs,  although I am a bit disappointed as my family wont be able to visit at Easter due to the Lockdown rules!

I found the pattern for the little box online and hand cut four in bright spring coloured card.

Next I embossed all the sides with an older embossing folder from Cuttlebug and highlighted the embossing with Distress Oxide inks.

I then made the labels by stamping this really old Rubber Stampede image in black and colouring with my Zig Markers. adding some glimmer paste to the seed head.

I found scraps of matching ribbon for the boxes and attached the label.

Really pleased with how they turned out and quite simple to make too.

Sorry for the photo heavy post!
I am adding these to the current challenge at the "Lets Squash it" blog "Boxing clever with floral embossing"

Happy Mothering Sunday to all the UK Mothers out there!

Pillow Boxes!

I needed a couple of gift boxes so made these pillow boxes,  decided to make them in a silver grey card.  This first one is decorated with lots of die cut snowflakes using Simon Says dies, cut in white and a blue glitter card. I then added the die cut Christmas using the Heffy Doodle die cut in gold. I then added the string tie to finish off.

This second box is again in silver grey, I have added the white embossed circle and some die cut red glitter baubles and gingham ribbon.  (not sure of where I got these dies)

Almost ready for Christmas now yeah!!

More Pillow Boxes!

I needed a couple more boxes for some smaller gifts so cut some more pillow boxes with my Silhouette machine.

Cut the first one in Kraft card and added the white band, which I die cut using an older Memory Box die, I thought they looked a bit like snowflakes.  Added some pearls and the red gingham ribbon before adding the tag with added snowflakes.

For this second box I have used some stiff patterned paper for the base and have added a peach band and some layered up glittery snowflakes.

That's  most of my presents bought and wrapped now and my cards are all but finished.  I really need to decorate the house now but we are busy painting the hall so it will have to wait for a few more days.

I am adding these boxes to the current challenge at Simon Says Wednesday blog.

Gift Boxes!

Now my Christmas cards are all but finished I needed to make some little gift boxes, the pillow box is such an easy make and you can jazz it up in so many ways.  The box was cut using my Silhouette machine and some Kraft card.  I then used the older Hero Arts stamp "Winter Town to create the stamped panel, also adding the village die cut.  Also stamped the tag and added a Simon Says snowflake and some bells and string to finish.

I shall add this to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Wrap it up".  Had fun with this so am off to make a few more.

Have a great weekend.

A Christmas Gift Box.

Decided to make another gift box for the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Anything but a card"

I used an old template that I have (not sure where it originally came from but there are loads on Pinterest ) Then after cutting out I masked up the front panel and stamped with some older snowflake stamps from Hero Arts and then embossed in white.  I then rubbed over Salty Ocean Distress Oxide. Next I added some torn white embossed card for the snow. The tree is also an older Hero Arts stamp, just added the bells and bow.

Hope you are having a great weekend, its blowing a gale here so I am tucked up in my craft room playing with some new stamps and dies :0)

Place Setting Gift Boxes!

Just had a fantastic fun  weekend with three of my friends visiting from Surrey, we did lots of crafting and lots of sightseeing too.  Love catching up with them.  I decided I wanted to make a little table setting gift for them and made these gift boxes to hold a small hand cream tube.  Now they have visited I can share them with you.

I used a pattern I found on Pinterest for the box bases, then I stamped and embossed in gold the "Beautiful Day" set from Altenew. For each box I cut two flowers , layering up the centre piece to create lots of dimension. I then added the lattice die cut with the flowers and lots of pearls.

As you can see the hand cream fits in a treat.

I have made these before with a Christmas theme, they are also perfect fit for a Nail Varnish, see here and here.

I am adding these to the current Wednesday Challenge at Simon Says Stamp "Anything but a card"

Looking forward to the weekend now and my son is visiting, he has just been to the Los Angeles  to be a Groomsman at a friends wedding and while he was there he managed to get me some stamping goodies. So excited!!

I can't resist a Box !!!

I spent some time yesterday browsing Pinterest for some ideas and found these little Truffle Box Place Settings".  As soon as I saw them I knew I had to have a go at making some, I love little boxes
for gifts.  I used the free download to cut the box and stand then set about adding my own style.  Its a simple design using some gold foiled scrapbook papers that I had.  I used the Simon Says "Stitched Square" dies and also their "Nadine Snowflake" die for the top.  The name is computer generated.

I shall be adding a Ferraro Roche or something similar, plus a party popper to the box and then use them as place settings for New Year.

Now to get the others made.  I shall be adding  this to the Monday Challenge over at The Simon Says Blog.

More gift boxes

My daughter loves having her nails painted so I always try to buy her a new varnish for Christmas,  I usually make a small gift holder and hang it from our tree.  This is the one I made this year using a pattern I found on Pinterest.  I have made it from Kraft card and added some PP then added the die cut baubles and sparkly gems.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

They are very easy to make and would hold a variety of small gifts.

I am adding this to the current Wednesday challenge at Simon Says "Gift it".

Although alot of the country are having pretty snow storms here in Dorset it is falling as rain, such a shame would love to see some snow on the hills by our house.  Keep warm everyone.

They are white and blue for the boys.

And red and white for the girls, I have also added name tags and some bells although you cant see the red ones on Fran's in the photo :0( .

I had fun with these but now I need to get on and put up some decorations !!

"Gift Card"

While I had my Hero Arts Snowman die and stamp on my desk I decided to make a card for the current Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Gift It" . I used my Avery Elle tag die for the card base, I also used another panel of  a Waxed paper embossed background that i had in my stash (see here for the details on how to make this ) Next I cut a piece of card big enough to hold my coffee gift card and also added a glitter card panel to that.  My stamped and die cut snowman is raised up on foam tape for added dimension.  I shall also add this to the a2z scrapbooking challenge "Make it a Tag". All ready now to give at Christmas!!

Its a beautiful sunny Autumn day here in Dorset , I hope the sun is shining where you are.

More Gift Boxes

Here are a couple more of the gift boxes I have made for Christmas.  They are very simple to make but look so pretty.

For the fisrt box I have dry embossed half the box with snowflakes then wrapped a silver ribbon round.  The snowflake is made up of  embossed die cuts.

Here is a close up I used gold embossing, clear sparkle and white pearly embossing powder.

The second box is also dry embossed then wrapped with a ribbon and twine, I then added die cut baubles and the tag.  I am adding these to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Wrap it Up."

Have a great weekend.

Christmas Pillow Box

I have been playing with my new Poinsettia Stamp and Die from Hero Arts and making some Pillow Boxes ready for Christmas.  First I stamped the poinsettia in green then stamped the outline stamp twice onto red card and embossed in gold.  I fussy cut the top two layers and added sparkle with my Touch of Stella Pen. I also added some gold coloured pearls and some Glossy Accent to the centre of the flower.  The Pillow Box was cut on my Silhouette.   Then I  dry embossed one end of the box for some added texture.

I am adding the to the Make the Day Special "Anything but a card" Challenge.

Its a very wet dull day here in Surrey so perfect for a crafting afternoon.

A Box and A Card!!

I wanted to have a go at this (new to me) challenge at the "Make The Day Special Stamp Store" The challenge set is "Anything but a Card" so I decided to make a gift box with matching tag with the new Hero Arts Layering Tree stamp and Die, my favorite go to stamp and die for this years Christmas cards!!  I made my box using a template I have had for a couple of years (not sure where I got it) I then used a spellbinders oval die for the handle and glittery trim.  All the stamps used are Hero Arts, the snowman and sky background are last years.  I have added some bells to the tree tag for a Christmas tinkle!

Here is a side view of the circle snowflake stamp, white embossed and distressed, the other sides I have left blank.

This next card is for the Hero Arts Challenge," Holiday Cardmaking" Its another take on my previous posts card, this time I have tried to create a sunset.

Hope you are all having a great week.
