Hot Foiling cards.

I have been playing around with my hot foil machine, getting used to using it and hopefully getting good results.  I got this large Spellbinders plate when I got the machine, it was in a reduced bin and I really liked the design.

I have made two cards one with silver foiling and one with rose gold but I used the same design.  First I die cut with a very large label die, not sure the make of it as i have had it for ages.  I then die cut some Simon Says Snowflakes in white and glittery card stock and added to the middle of the foiling before layering up a foiled sentiment.  Lastly I added some sparkly ribbon.

Two very shiny cards to add to my box.

I am adding this card to the challenge at the Christmas Kickstart Challenge.

This is my last post before Christmas so I would like to wish all my followers a

Merry Christmas
and
A Happy New Year.

Snowflakes and Stars

I am joining in the last challenge over at the "Lets Squash it " blog, I have enjoyed taking part in this challenge over the last two years, thanks to Gail; and Jo for all the fun themes.  My embossing folders were gathering dust till this fun challenge came along.

I used a Crafts Too star folder for the dark blue  background spreading some Stickles over it for added sparkle. I then added a die cut heart and glittery gold snowflake with gem.  The sentiment is computer generated.

I found this one difficult to photograph with the dark background and dull cold weather we are having.

I am still house bound with a nasty cold so lots of crafty time!

Poinsettia

I have this new Quadrant foiling plate from Pink Fresh and I spent some time creating some backgrounds with it.  I decided to make another Christmas card as the design is perfect to show off other images.

This poinsettia stamp is an old woodblock stamp with dies from Hero Arts,  which I inked and embossed 3 images in rose gold to match the background foiling, I then coloured with Zig Brush markers and die cut the layers.  I also die cut the leafy sprig to layer up under my flower. Again this is an older die and I am not even sure where its from. The sentiment is also foiled, I then just added some sparkly gems.

Unfortunately I have caught a nasty cold and am keeping warm indoors, I should be out getting my last minute shopping but thats going to have to wait till next week now.

Winter Chills

It's been exceptionally cold here in Dorset and I have stayed in the warm creating, the cold weather inspired another snowflake card using my gel plate and some Oxide inks. I inked up the plate with Cracked Pistachio and Salty Ocean inks before pressing in some Simon Says snowflake dies.  they create a really good impressing which transfers to the card beautifully.

I then added some gorgeous sparkly snowflakes and sequins before adding the sentiment.

I am adding this card to the current Christmas Kickstart Challenge.  and also the Die cut Divas current challenge "Christmassy"

Hope you are keeping warm

Christmas Gnome

Back in the summer I won this gorgeous Gnome stamp from "Lily of the Valley" on the Christmas Kickstart Challenge Blog

I have made a few cards with it as its such a fun image to colour.  I stamped and coloured with Alcohol markers and then die cut the shaped card with an older Spellbinders die.

I then cut some Christmassy paper for the background and mounted it onto a die cut card blank.  the sentiment is computer generated.

I am entering this card in the December Christmas Kickstart Challenge "Anything Goes Christmas".
and the Love Flickr group challenge which is also "Anything Goes"

I am looking forward to a visit from my Granddaughter this weekend hopefully we will be taking her to see some Christmas lights.  Have a great weekend.

Hot Foiling

I have just treated myself to the Pink Fresh Studios Quadrant Backdrop Stencil, Die and foiling plate as an early Christmas present and as soon as it arrived I had to try it out. I made this card for the Pink Fresh Studio Monthly Challenge "Happy Holidays". After foiling the image in gold and die cutting it I decided to make a Christmas card as the colours just seemed right.

I die cut a card blank and foam taped my foiled image onto the front.  I then added die cut snowflakes from Simon Says in gold and white and lots of sparkly gems.  The sentiment is also foiled.

I am also adding this card to the  Die Cut Divas December challenge "Winter or Christmas Themed" and also the Simon Says Flickr group challenge which is "Die Cutting."

Off to make some more of this design, have a great week.
