Cosmos Flowers!

I have been practising my water colouring using the "Cosmos Flower Background" stamp from Simon Says and my Zig Markers.  I love the bright colours the Zigs produce so pretty.  I coloured then cut out a portion of the stamp image and then layered up on pop dots to give more dimension.  The background base is the "Wonky Rectangle" die from Simon Says and the leaves are from the "Beautiful Day" stamp set from Altenew.

Adding this to both the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Anything Goes" and the SSS Flickr group challenge "Flowers"

Have a great weekend!

Flowery Fun

The spring flowers are at last coming out and I was inspired to make a flowery card,  I used the Simon Says "Artful Flowers" stamping and embossing in silver then colouring with Zig Markers, definitely my favourite medium! After fussy cutting all the flowers I layered them up on some card embossed with a tree bark die.

Just added a few jems for sparkle and then added the sentiment, a bright cheerful card for a bright day !!

Adding this card to both the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge and also the Simon Says Flickr group challenge.

Cosmos Flower Background!

Playing again with the "Cosmos Flower Background" stamp from Simon Says this time I decided to stamp it onto Pool card using Pool ink, then I added some light colour with some Zig Markers.  Its a very subtle effect but quite pretty in real life.  I then added a sparkly sentiment and some pearls.

A very simple "Thank You" card that I will add to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge which this week is "Sparkle and Shine".

We have had a lovely change in the weather here and have had three days of glorious sunshine, at last Spring is here.  Hope the weather has improve where you are.

More stretching my dies!

Had another play with embossing using the Simon Says "Card Wrap Die" die, this time I cut a circle of card then dry embossed the die twice  using a silicone mat. Next I blended over with Distress Oxide ink "Cracked Pistachio". Then I added my stamped fussy cut flowers across the middle of the circle to hide the seam created from the embossing.

I love this effect!

I am also adding this card to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Add some texture"

Have a great day.

Stretching my Dies !!

I have just got the Simon Says "Modern Flowers Card Wrap Die" and I am trying to think of different ways to use it.  I remembered a while back that Jennifer McGuire used dies to emboss a card by using a silicone mat in her die cutter so had a go.  I embossed the die twice at the top and bottom of my card then blended over Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink.

I then gold embossed and coloured some flowers ( to look like Primroses)  using SSS "Artful Flower set" Just added my sentiment and some sequins and voila , love this look.  I shall be hunting through my dies to have another go at this technique!

I am adding this card to both the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Add some Texture" challenge  and also the Simon Says Flickr Group challenge "Anything Goes"

Looks like we might have some good weather at last next week, looking forward to getting out in my garden.  Have a great week.

Cosmos Flower!

After making a card with the Simon Says "Cosmos Background" stamp I had this strip of offcut in my scrap basket to use.  Perfect for a quick Thank You card, I mounted the strip onto a small piece of patterned paper then added the dry embossed panel , lastly just added the SSS "Thanks" die cut. Simple but pretty!!

I am adding this to two challenges firstly the Simon Says Wednesday challenge "Add Texture" and the Die Cut Divas challenge "Anything Goes"  Its been a while since I have entered here but one of my resolutions this year was to challenge myself more!!

Have a great week

Pink and Sparkly

Another quick card today using the Simon Says "Cosmos Flowers" background stamp, I love this image embossed in gold, it looks so pretty and sparkly, this time I have lightly coloured with pink shades of my Zig Markers, just adding a sparkly sentiment and some pearls.

I am also adding this to the Wednesday Challenge at Simon Says "Happy Birthday".

Feeling a lot better today and able to get out in the garden for a while, feels a bit like Spring!!

More Birthdays!!

Two cards  to post today , this first for sweet Rosie who is going to be 2 tomorrow. I made this using my Silhouette Machine, cutting and colouring the balloons  with Zig Markers then I also cut her name and the "2".  Very simple card to put together just hope she likes it!!

This second card is for my cousin who has a  birthday coming up, I wanted a simple elegant card so decided to use the Simon Says "Modern Flowers Card Wrap"cut with Kraft card adding a gold embossed label.

For the card itself I just gold embossed the Simon Says "Cosmos Background" onto white adding some vellum and a die cut sentiment.

Its very simple but I am pleased with the result.

I shall add both these cards to the current "Happy Birthday"Wednesday Challenge at Simon Says.

I am beginning to feel a bit better today so hopefully will be able to spend more time in my craft room,  Thank You for all my good wishes they were much appreciated .

Quick Card!!

Just a quick card post today as I am still feeling unwell with the tonsillitis bug, I have never suffered before but it has certainly knocked me for six,  hopefully the anti-biotics will start doing their job soon !!!

I need a quick birthday card and decided to use the Simon Says "Pile of presents" die for this one.   I die cut some scraps of stamped images for the presents, quite effective and easy to do!

I shall add this to the current Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Happy Birthday"  Its the challenges 9th Birthday so there are 9 prizes up for grabs, so you should all play along!!

One I Made Earlier!!

I haven't made any cards this week as after having  had a cold and now I have now got Tonsillitis!!  My daughter was always getting it as a child and eventually it got so bad they removed her tonsils. I have never had it before and I now know how ill she felt, my throat feels like razor blades and its hard to swallow, consequently I have spent the last few days snuggled in a duvet watching some old movies!!

I really miss my card making and have been spending time looking at Instagram getting ideas for when I am back on form.

In the mean time here is a card I made last week and haven't felt well enough to post.  I used the SSS Kaleidoscope background and the Scalloped die. I have coloured and blended with Zig Markers.

I will add this to the "Anything Goes "Challenge over at Simon Says .

Hope to be back crafting soon!
