Cute Penguin Stamp!

After a really busy couple of weeks I have at last found some time to get in my craft room only to find my mojo was some what lacking! I decided the easiest thing was to try a challenge so headed over to the Christmas Kickstart Challenge . The theme this time is "Christmas Kids" and I knew this cute penguin from Heffy Doodles would be perfect.

I stamped and coloured the image with Zig Markers before die cutting, the balloons are also from a Heffy Doodle set called "Elephant of Surprise"  I used the Simon Says Falling Snow stencil and some Nuvo glimmer paste to create the snowy background and then pop dotted the Merry Christmas Die cut , also from Simon Says. I pop dotted the penguin and layered all up on my red card.

I will also add this card to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Anything Goes" and the Simon Says Flickr Challenge which is also "Anything Goes".

Hoping to catch up on a few of my favourite blogs now and hoping to make some more cards too.

Have a great weekend

Flowery Birthday!!

The Simon Says "Even More Spring Flowers" set is my favourite set at the moment and I can't stop trying to think of new ways to use it.  After browsing some card sites I decided to make a window card, not something I have made for a very long time.

I stamped and embossed in gold the flowers and coloured with my zig markers before fussy cutting out.  I then cut the hole in the front of my card with the SSS Stitched rectangles and made a frame with them from some pink pearl card.  I then layered up my flowers on the front.

I then cut another white square and embossed in gold the sentiment from Hero Arts and adhered to the back of the card.

Off now to sit in the garden and enjoy the sunny day.

Bouquet of Flowers!

Got out my Simon Says "Spring Flowers" stamp set to make another card for my stash,  I created the background using splotches of Zig markers on some water colour paper and lots of water.

Next I embossed the flowers in silver coloured and fussy cut, I then layered up some of the flowers and then glued to the background card.  Adding a die cut SSS sentiment,

I will add this card to both the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge and also the Simon Says Flickr Group challenge.

Enjoy your week.

Birthday Flowers!

I am still playing with the Simon Says "Even more Spring Flowers" set , colouring with zigs and fussy cutting before layering up onto patterned paper.  I haver a few birthdays coming up for some elderly relatives and flowers are always popular.

This is eligible for a couple of challenges, the Simon Says Flickr challenge "Mothers Day/ Flowers and the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Happy Birthday".

I was inspired for the colours by my garden at the moment, lots of purples, yellows and oranges, just love the Spring colours!

Happy Birthday!!

The May flowers are in full bloom down here in Dorset and I was inspired to colour up the SSS "Even More Spring Flowers" set again.  This time I embossed in gold and coloured with Zigs to create a colourful bouquet.

I also embossed in gold some of the leaves from the same set onto a die cut card, then layered up the flowers to create the bouquet.  I then layered the card onto pink card and adhered to the card base.  The sentiment is computer generated.

Love the bright colours you can achieve with Zig Brush Markers.

Next is a shaker card I made for my cousins Grand Daughter using the cute elephant set from Heffy Doodles.  Used some patterned paper on this card (I have loads in my stash and it felt so good to actually used some).  Love making shakers and they are always a hit with little ones!

I shall also add this to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge.

Looking forward to the weekend as we are travelling back to Surrey for some wedding celebrations,  Hope you have a fun weekend.
