Christmas Kickstart Challenge!

Its time for another challenge over at the "Christmas Kickstart Challenge' blog This fortnights challenge is "Festive Felines".

Not my usual style but wanted to have a go, so here it is a cat in a snowstorm lol!  This card is very twinkly as I used the Simon Says "Falling Snow" stencil and Nuvo Glimmer paste, not easy to photograph today as it is actually snowing here !!!

Hope you are keeping warm!!

Another Valentine

After making this card I decided to have another go making hearts with the Simon Says Spring Flowers stamps.  This time I stamped and embossed the flowers in gold as I wanted more sparkle on my card, making it feel a little more luxurious.

I then used a bright pink and red Zig markers for the colouring, perfect valentine colours.  I glued the flowers onto some scrap card and cut out my hearts.

I then glued the large heart and pop dotted the smaller one, I have kept this card very simple and the heart is so bright just adding a few sequins to finish.

I am adding this card to two challenges,  the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge "Have a Heart"  and the Simon Says Flickr Group challenge "All my Love"

I have a busy weekend ahead with the family coming down for a visit, really looking forward to seeing them.  Have a great weekend.

Valentine!!

Its been a dull cold weekend down in Dorset so I have had lots of time to be creative, made this card with two challenges in mind.

The Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Clean and Simple" and the Simon Says Flickr Group challenge "All my Love".

The heart is made up of lots of flowers from the SSS "Spring Flowers " stamp set.  I stamped and embossed in white then coloured with my Zig Markers.  Next I fussy cut and laid them together on a spare piece of card and die cut into the heart shape.  I then added the die cut LOVE sentiment and adhered to my base.  I then added the sequins for a little sparkle.

Hopefully I can get some more crafting time in today, hope you are having a creative weekend,

Clean and Simple!

I have been inspired by cards I have seen recently with stripes and flowers so decided to make my own.  Found this lovely striped paper in my stash so went with this orangy colour palette to match.  The flowers are from the Simon Says "Even more Spring Flowers" set.  I stamped and water coloured before fussy cutting them.  The curve die is also from SSS, before adding my flowers I lightly splashed some paint onto the base card.

I am adding this to the current Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Clean and Simple"

Its turned cold again here so I am in my craft room creating today, love days like this.  Have a great weekend.

Christmas Kickstart Challenge.

I am keen to play in the Christmas Kickstart Challenge so that when Christmas comes round again I will have a stash of cards already made.

The challenge theme this time is "Bundle Up" so after going through my stamps I found this older Hero Arts stamp with the cute snowmen wrapped up for winter.
I stamped coloured and fussy cut three snowmen, I then found some pretty patterned paper (great to use up some of my stash, its getting far too big!!)

I then cut three holes in a die cut rectangle and laid on the patterned paper, next I used the SSS "Falling snow stencil and some glimmer paste to create lots of sparkly snow.

I then layered up the card on foam tape and added the peeking snowmen and sentiment.  Its much more sparkly in real life, can't seem to capture it in a photo!

Well that's another card added to my box, hope you find time to play along!!

Card and matching envelope!

I wanted to take part in the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Card with Matching Envelope" .  I decided to ink up my Altenew Painted Flowers, I stamped and embossed in gold both on some card and the envelope.  I then coloured the flowers and fussy cut. Next added them to a card base made up of Green patterned paper and white cardstock.  Added the SSS Happy Birthday Die cut and some sequins.  For the envelope I lightly sponged  the flowers with Distress inks.

Can't wait for the weather to warm up and have some pretty colour in my garden !!

Have a great week.

In the Pink!!

Another card for the current SSS Flickr Challenge "Stencil it",   I was inspired by this pretty card by Rosali  realizing that I could use my "Falling Snow" stencil on any card!! I love the effect it has created.  I stamped and embossed in silver the Cosmos Flower background and coloured with Zig Markers.  I then added a few leaves from Altenew's "Beautiful Day Stamp set. I then distressed the edge of my card and used the stencil to create the dots.  Fussy cut the image to fit the corner of my card. and cut the whole thing with SSS Stitched Square Die.

Had fun with this one and it proves that this stencil can be so versatile!

Also adding this card to the LOVE homemade cards Flickr Challenge,

Hope you have a creative and relaxing weekend.

Thinking of Spring!

I was keen to take part in the SSS Flickr group challenge "Stencils" again although the only stencil I have is called "Falling Snow" I wasn't keen to make another Christmas card yet so have had to improvise!!  I used the Simon Says "Flower Card Wrap" die to cut a stencil and used that for my background, which I dabbed slightly with Bundled Sage Distress ink.  The Flowers are also Simon Says and are from the "Even More Spring Flowers set".  I stamped and embossed these in Gold before fussy cutting and water colouring.

I will also add this to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge this week as the stamp set is new to me.  Also the Love Handmade cards Flickr Group challenge "Anything Goes".

Have a great week.

More Reindeer!!

As this is a new stamp I couldn't resist inking it up again, love the cute reindeer image from Clearly Besotted,  This time I cut squares with the Stitched Square dies from Simon Says and coloured them with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink.  When dry I used the SSS Falling Snow stencil and white Nuvo Drops to create the snow. The reindeer images are coloured with Zig Brush markers and raised up on pop dots for dimension.

I am adding this card to three challenges The SSS Flickr Group challenge "Stencils" and the SSS Wednesday Challenge "Something New" also lovely Jo's great new Christmas Kickstart Challenge!

Hope you are having a relaxing weekend.

Cute Reindeer!!

After getting behind with my Christmas cards last year I have decided to take part in this new challenge organised by Jo.  I will try and take part each fortnight and hopefully by next Christmas I will already have 26 cards made!  The challenge this time is "Reindeer and Friends" and although I didn't have any Reindeer stamps I was totally smitten by Jo's card and this cute Reindeer set from Clearly Besotted.  Luckily its also on sale, suddenly it was in my basket and such a great service from Clearly Besotted meant it arrived two days later!!

Also used the "Country Landscape" die from Making Memories and "Alphabet dies" by Altenew.  Added some Nuvo glitter paste to the top of the letters and also used the SSS "Falling Snow" stencil and more glitter paste,  Coloured my Reindeer with Zig Brush Markers.

I will also add this card to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Something New" .

I had fun with this stamp set and I am sure I will be inking it up again this week!

Have a great weekend.

Snowflakes!

I have just received this Snowflake die from SSS, I have wanted it for ages but its been out of stock.  At last I its arrived , maybe a bit late for my Christmas cards but I have it for next year lol!  I just needed to make a card and this simple design was perfect.  I have added shimmer to the base card with Nuvo Glimmer Paste and the SSS Falling Snow stencil.  Just added some more paste to the snowflake, added a sentiment and done.

Now the Christmas supplies are being packed away till next year !!

I shall add this to the current Simon Says Flickr Challenge.

Have a great week,
