My Guest Designer Slot!!!

I love to take part in challenges as it stretches my creativity, making me try new things!  One of my favourite challenges to take part in is the one at the Simon Says Stamp Flickr group  so I was thrilled when I was approached by Barb to be the Guest Designer for the #107 challenge "Do it with Dimension".

Well as you can imagine I set to work straight away and came up with these cards.

For my first card I decided to make a shaker (Love making these)  I used the SSS Stitched Square dies to create the frame.  The flowers are from the  SSS "Spring Flowers " which I stamped, embossed in silver, coloured with Zigs  and fussy cut, layering up to create lots of dimension. Always love a bit of bling lol!

My second card again used the "Stitched Square dies" and the " Cosmos Flower Background" , I stamped the flowers with Distress ink then cut the squares.  I then  coloured the central square with my Zigs and layered up on a white frame. Added the " Thanks" die cut and some sequins for sparkle.

For my last card I went with a Christmas theme as I have loads to make in the next few months.  For this card I used the "Kaleidoscope Background" stamping and embossing once in gold and again in white.  I fussy cut four of the flower shapes from the white image and coloured with a red Zig pen, then layering two together to form a flower.  After die cutting the gold image I then layered on the red flowers adding a pearl for shimmer.

I really enjoyed making these cards and hope that maybe you will find time to play along with this challenge.

Have a great week.

Happy Birthday!

Had another chance to play this weekend as the weather here is terrible, gale force winds and heavy rain.  Autumn is here with a vengeance!!

Made another card for the "Totally Resistible" challenge at the SSS Flickr Group.  This time I stamped and embossed the "Cosmos" flower background in white onto water colour paper.  Then I had fun colouring with my Zig Markers and lots of water.  Love my Zig Markers the colours are so vibrant and cheerful especially on a dark, wet and windy day. Die cut the Happy letters with the Altenew alphabet dies and added the Birthday die cut using a Simon Says die.
Also adding this to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Bling it on" as I have added sequins for added sparkle.

I am hoping the weather cheers up next week as we have a garden landscaping project on and I want to get cracking with it before it really gets cold and wintery.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Christmas is coming!!!

I am starting to get geared up to make my Christmas cards, as I make about 50 I want to get a head start lol!  Decided to go with the SSS Flickr group Challenge theme "Totally Resistible"    and used the" Kaleidoscope Background" stamp embossed in Gold then smearing over Festive Berries Distress ink. Looks so pretty in real life. Then just added a SSS die cut snowflake before layering up.

A close up , love the red and gold combination.

I had a small piece of the red and gold left so made a small shaker card using the SSS "Pile of Presents" die. Adding this card to the Wednesday Challenge at Simon Says "Bling it on"

Well that's another two made, still plenty to go!!

Another Shaker, I am Hooked!!!

Had chance to craft again today and I couldn't resist making another Shaker Card for the SSS Flickr Group Challenge "Falling for Fall"   I do love Shakers and using this special Peek a Boo Window die and cut windows from My Favorite Things makes it soooo easy!!  The background in flowers are the Cosmos stamp set from SSS which I coloured with Polychromos and the leaves are also SSS.  Leaving this without a sentiment at the moment!

Girly Birthday!!

I just love a bit of bling so love making Shaker Cards, I made this one for a 9 year old girls birthday next week.  A very simple shaker using some patterned paper and this gorgeous monkey stamp from Sugar Peas. I have used him a lot, such a fun image and easy to colour.  The background die and sentiment die are both from Simon Says Stamp.

Entering this in the SSS Wednesday Challenge "Stamp on it".

I have lots of birthdays in September and October so must get busy!!

Have a great weekend,
.

More Autumnal Thoughts

Had another go at making an Autumnal card for the Simon Says Flickr Group challenge this time just using SSS dies and some smooshing with Distress inks. A simple card so just added some sequins for added sparkle.

A close up of the leaves which I cut twice and layered up.

The weather is definitely getting Autumnal here and the trees are beginning to turn.

Have a great weekend,

Autumn Thanks!

After a couple of busy weeks with family and friends visiting I have found time to make a card for the Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge which is titled "Falling for Fall".

Well I don't have many Autumnal stamps but after rooting through my box I found this really old Hero Arts stamp called Autumn Leaf Boarder. I created the background by inking the stamp with Zig markers and stamping and then water brushing.  I have used three Simon Says dies The Stitch Squares, Wonky Rectangles and Thanks on a Line.  Love making shaker cards, love the shine and sparkle.

 Have a great week.
