Hot Foiling cards.

I have been playing around with my hot foil machine, getting used to using it and hopefully getting good results.  I got this large Spellbinders plate when I got the machine, it was in a reduced bin and I really liked the design.

I have made two cards one with silver foiling and one with rose gold but I used the same design.  First I die cut with a very large label die, not sure the make of it as i have had it for ages.  I then die cut some Simon Says Snowflakes in white and glittery card stock and added to the middle of the foiling before layering up a foiled sentiment.  Lastly I added some sparkly ribbon.

Two very shiny cards to add to my box.

I am adding this card to the challenge at the Christmas Kickstart Challenge.

This is my last post before Christmas so I would like to wish all my followers a

Merry Christmas
and
A Happy New Year.

Snowflakes and Stars

I am joining in the last challenge over at the "Lets Squash it " blog, I have enjoyed taking part in this challenge over the last two years, thanks to Gail; and Jo for all the fun themes.  My embossing folders were gathering dust till this fun challenge came along.

I used a Crafts Too star folder for the dark blue  background spreading some Stickles over it for added sparkle. I then added a die cut heart and glittery gold snowflake with gem.  The sentiment is computer generated.

I found this one difficult to photograph with the dark background and dull cold weather we are having.

I am still house bound with a nasty cold so lots of crafty time!

Poinsettia

I have this new Quadrant foiling plate from Pink Fresh and I spent some time creating some backgrounds with it.  I decided to make another Christmas card as the design is perfect to show off other images.

This poinsettia stamp is an old woodblock stamp with dies from Hero Arts,  which I inked and embossed 3 images in rose gold to match the background foiling, I then coloured with Zig Brush markers and die cut the layers.  I also die cut the leafy sprig to layer up under my flower. Again this is an older die and I am not even sure where its from. The sentiment is also foiled, I then just added some sparkly gems.

Unfortunately I have caught a nasty cold and am keeping warm indoors, I should be out getting my last minute shopping but thats going to have to wait till next week now.

Winter Chills

It's been exceptionally cold here in Dorset and I have stayed in the warm creating, the cold weather inspired another snowflake card using my gel plate and some Oxide inks. I inked up the plate with Cracked Pistachio and Salty Ocean inks before pressing in some Simon Says snowflake dies.  they create a really good impressing which transfers to the card beautifully.

I then added some gorgeous sparkly snowflakes and sequins before adding the sentiment.

I am adding this card to the current Christmas Kickstart Challenge.  and also the Die cut Divas current challenge "Christmassy"

Hope you are keeping warm

Christmas Gnome

Back in the summer I won this gorgeous Gnome stamp from "Lily of the Valley" on the Christmas Kickstart Challenge Blog

I have made a few cards with it as its such a fun image to colour.  I stamped and coloured with Alcohol markers and then die cut the shaped card with an older Spellbinders die.

I then cut some Christmassy paper for the background and mounted it onto a die cut card blank.  the sentiment is computer generated.

I am entering this card in the December Christmas Kickstart Challenge "Anything Goes Christmas".
and the Love Flickr group challenge which is also "Anything Goes"

I am looking forward to a visit from my Granddaughter this weekend hopefully we will be taking her to see some Christmas lights.  Have a great weekend.

Hot Foiling

I have just treated myself to the Pink Fresh Studios Quadrant Backdrop Stencil, Die and foiling plate as an early Christmas present and as soon as it arrived I had to try it out. I made this card for the Pink Fresh Studio Monthly Challenge "Happy Holidays". After foiling the image in gold and die cutting it I decided to make a Christmas card as the colours just seemed right.

I die cut a card blank and foam taped my foiled image onto the front.  I then added die cut snowflakes from Simon Says in gold and white and lots of sparkly gems.  The sentiment is also foiled.

I am also adding this card to the  Die Cut Divas December challenge "Winter or Christmas Themed" and also the Simon Says Flickr group challenge which is "Die Cutting."

Off to make some more of this design, have a great week.

Eva's Birthday!

It was my Granddaughters 1st Birthday last week and this is the card I made for her.  I cut the 1 shape with my silhouette machine in white card and then distressed with Oxide inks.

I die cut her name using glitter cardstock and Altenew alphabet dies, next I stamped the zoo animals from the Heffy Doodle set "Two by Two Safari Animals" the monkey is a Sugar Pea design stamp. I coloured with alcohol markers and die cut.  The balloons were also from a Heffy Doodle stamp set.

I was really pleased with the finished card and Eva loved it.

I also made this fabric Birthday crown but she wasn't so keen on that , she is not a lover of hats lol.

We had a wonderful weekend celebrating.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my American followers.

White Christmas

I have found another challenge blog called Daring Cardmakers and decided to make a card, I was inspired by the "White" theme its always a great colour for Christmas cards.

For this card I used the Crystal Distortion embossing folder from Simon Says Stamp for the background, I then added some layered up snowflakes and this gorgeous little gnome also Simon Says dies.  Next I added lots of sparkly gems. My sentiment is hot foiled in silver.
The cardstock is bright white and I found this card quite hard to photograph.

I am still getting over a rotten cold and sore throat and have been stuck indoors for a few days, I am hoping to feel better soon as I need to get some fresh air, fingers crossed!

Two more Christmas cards.

Unfortunately I arrived back from my weekend away with a nasty cold, so I have been stuck indoors for a few days.  I have a sore throat and cough, but it hasn't stopped me making a few more Christmas cards.

This first one uses again my new lucky find Snowflake corner die, which I have cut in glitter cardstock.  I have just paired it with some snowflakes from Simon Says.

A simple very sparkly card.  I am adding this card to the current LOVE flickr group challenge.

This second card uses a gel plate background that I made a few months back.  After going on a gel plate course I have a stash of pretty backgrounds ready to use on cards.

Again for this one I have just added some Simon Says snowflakes and a pearl, the sentiment is hot foiled. A card for the Simon Says Flickr group challenge.

Have a great weekend, I am going to stay home in the warm and hopefully my cold will feel better soon.

Birthday Weekend

I have just spent a lovely weekend with my daughter celebrating Eva's first Birthday, where has that year gone?  It's been a sad year but Eva has been our ray of sunshine.

I have been busy making more Christmas cards, whilst visiting my daughter I found some craft items in a charity shop and this snowflake frame die was one of them, I am not sure who it's made by but I am really pleased with it.

For this card I die cut it in glittery card stock layering it up for texture.

I then added the SSS gnome die which I cut and then ran the beard through a Cuttlebug woodgrain embossing folder and added some glitter. The background is a memory box die which I have also run through a cuttlebug snow folder.  The sentiment is hot foiled.

Enjoy your weekend

Sparkly Trees.

I used the Forest Border embossing folder from Simon Says and embossed onto white card, I then lightly distressed with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink and rubbed gently with some clear glittery stickles.  I then added the L'll Gnome die cut also from Simon Says.  I decided not to add a sentiment to the outside of the card as it coved the very sparkly trees too much.
I then decided to also add some sparkle to the Gnomes beard which has also been run through my tree bark embossing folder for added texture.

I shall also add this card to the "Merry and Bright" challenge over at the Simon Says Flickr Group.

I am off to see my Granddaughter Eva this weekend as it's her First Birthday on Monday.  Oh my gosh this last year has flown by, it's been a very difficult year, but I am looking forward to spending some time with the family and celebrating.

Siver and White!

This was a simple card to make using the Facetted Snowflake embossing folder from Simon Says embossed in white card spread with some Stickles.  I then added the silver glitter die cut Simon Says snowflakes.

The Sentiment is Hot Foiled and I just added some pearls and silver wire, resulting in a very sparkly card.

Also the Die Cut Divas challenge blog, which this month is "Anything Goes"

This was such an easy card to make that I will be making more to add to my card stash as I know it maybe raided very soon by my daughter!

Have a great weekend, its raining and windy here so I hope you are having brighter weather.

Christmas Trees!

The theme this month at the Christmas Kickstart challenge is "Trees, Trees, Trees" so I made this card using the Chunky Tree die cut from Simon Says.  I created the background using a gel press some Oxide inks and some snowflake dies, quite hard to see in the photo but very pretty. The sentiment is Hot foiled.

I shall also add this card to the SSS Flickr group challenge "Merry and Bright".

Have a great weekend
