Summer Fun!!

Our summer seems to have disappeared, its cold and raining and I am missing the sun.  Decided to play along at the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Summer Sun" to cheer me up a bit  !!

I had these older Paper Smooches "Surf and Turf" stamps so decided to ink them up again and colour with Zigs , I then fussy cut.   I smooshed some blue and green ink onto the card base and then layered up the pelican and balloons.   The Birthday die is from Simon Says, it is a portion cut from the Birthday circle die.  I have layered onto a blue card base.

We are expecting thunder storms today so I shall be in my craft room creating,  hope the weather is better where you are.

Shaker Fun!

I needed a boys Birthday card , so decided to make a shaker, (love making them).  I got out this older Paper Smooches set and coloured the images with Zig Markers.  The sea background is made by blending, Cracked Pistachio and Salty Ocean Oxide inks.  I also made a stencil with some card and blended round it to create the waves.  Such a fun card to make and not my usual flowery creations!

Hope you are having a great weekend, we are having very spring like weather of sunshine and showers today, hopefully its better tomorrow as we are off on a shopping trip to Salisbury.

Card for Joni !

My son asked me to make a Birthday card for his friends little girl who is 4 next week.  I made her big sister a shaker card back in September and it proved a huge success so I decided to make Joni one too.  I won this older set of stamps "Surf and Turf"from Paper Smooches a while back and thought it would fit the bill perfectly.  I cut the 4 using my Silhouette machine then coloured the card with Distress Oxide Salty Ocean splashing with water to create the sea effect.  Then I coloured and fussy cut the fish to add to the card, the sentiment is computer generated.

I am adding this card to this weeks challenge at the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Animal Antics"

I also found time to play with my new Winter Flowers stamp set from Simon Says, I stamped and embossed in white onto watercolour paper then randomly painted with my Zig Brush markers and lots of water. I then die cut the letters using Altenew's Bold Alphabet dies. Just added some sequins for sparkle! I shall add this card to the current Simon Says Flickr group challenge "Anything Goes"

Sea themed Note Cards!

I was lucky enough to win this set of Sea themed images and could wait to ink them up, I decided to make a set of note cards and use my Zig Brush Markers to colour them. This is my colouring for Day 11 and 12 of Kathy's 30 Day colouring challenge. 

 I had fun colouring these cute images from Paper Smooches!!

I shall also add these to the challenge at The Divas that cut paper challenge which is Animals or Pets!! and the LOVE handmade cards Flickr group challenge #30
