Acetate butterfly

I have just made this for the current Hero Arts Challenge. I took the photograph of the flowers a couple of weeks ago on a trip to Wisley Gardens in Surrey. Love the Autumnal colours and love this butterfly stamp from Hero Arts stamped on acetate. Looking forward to a relaxing crafty weekend!!

Blog award

I have just received this blog award from Jo and I am thrilled Thanks Jo.
There are some little rules attached after you receive the award and these are:To link back to the person who gave you the award, then list five things you like spending your time on. You then get the chance to pass the award to five people who inspire and support your creativity. This can either be through sharing their amazing work or by leaving kind comments on your blog.
Five thing I like spending my time on are:-
1. Spending time with my family, my daughter is at university in Bristol so I don't see her very often, although we text and phone alot its great when we all get together.
2. Watching my son play in his Band (Elmor) He is an amazing guitarist and I am very proud.
3. Crafting is my passion and I spend every spare moment in my little craft room creating. I find it very relaxing after a hard day at work.
4. I also love to take pictures, I am not very good at it but still enjoy it.
5. I also like gardening, particularly my little vegetable plot.
I would like to send the award to these people who inspire me with their fantastic designs:-

Birthday flowers

I love making background paper with distressing inks. Made some blue paper and decided to stamp it with a flower stamp to make the flowers on this card. I also stamped and embossed the cream card to give it some texture. I'm really pleased with the flowers as they shimmer in the light. Difficult to show in a photograph.

Christmas

More Christmas cards I know, but I have loads to make so have to start early. I have really got the distress ink bug at the moment and made these three cards over the weekend. The red ones have a vintage look with the old lace and Santa image while the blue one is more modern. I just love my new Flourish Trio stamp.

Hero Arts Fall Challenge

I always like to keep some cards without messages on then I can add them at the last minute if I need a card in a hurry so I have also made a couple of cards using the fall palette 2 for this weeks challenge. I used a lot of distressing with Tim Holtz inks, broken china and spiced marmalade, also stamped randomly, added another Kathy inspired butterfly, this one in blue which I then sprayed with gold perfect pearls.

Challenge card

Back to work this week and its been really busy at school. I needed some wind down time so made another card for this weeks Hero Arts challenge. This time made a digital card with a kit from 2peas in a bucket. I am still learning how to use these but I'm pleased with the result.

Mens cards

Its Mans week at Hero Arts so had to make some male cards, I'd much rather do female ones, prefer pink to blue but I had to have a go at the challenge and these are what I came up with. I was pleased with the backgrounds as I followed Jennifer McGuires distress inking technique, I then just added some vintage car images.

Anniversary card

Back to school tomorrow after the summer holidays. Been busy today so I thought I would share this card with you. I made it at the beginning of the holidays for my best friend who celebrated her 20th wedding anniversary. The pink theme was because she had pink flowers for her wedding. The Heart stamp is by Hero Arts.
