Embellish Owl

This is my card for the current challenge on the Embellish Magazine blog site. The challenge is to add an owl to your card. The card must contain the colours, Sage green, Coral and Brown. The ribbon running along the bottom is dark brown and sparkly to add a bit of bling!!
The photo has darkened the colours I used they are a lot lighter in real life.
Not sure of the origin of the owl stamp as it was sent to me in a box of goodies from a Hero Arts blogging friend.

Christmas

Made two cards for the current Hero Arts challenge. Both simple christmas cards. Once designed they were really easy to make. Perfect for making cards in bulk.

Used the same Hero Arts small tree stamp on both cards but in a different way. The first was stamped in green onto cream card and gems added, the second was stamped in blue onto patterned paper and then gems added. I like the idea of the PP gives the trees a completely different look.

Elmor

The band my son Tristan plays for had the biggest gig of their career yesterday when they played to about 20,000 people at the Tailgate party, before the big NFL game at Wembley Stadium, London. It was very exciting for them all and they had an amazing day. Just sharing a few photos with you. ( Tristan is the one wearing the hat, he plays lead guitar)

Embellish challenge

I am having an afternoon crafting today as my DH has gone to Wembley with Tristan and the band. Its a big afternoon of American football and the band are playing at the tailgate party. This is a huge event for them as thousands will be there for the game its very exciting , but unfortunately it was a sell out so no tickets left for mum!!

Made this card for the "Think Pink" challenge on embellish magazine. Had to use three colours pink, fushia and grey. (Although its had to see in the photo the base card is pale pearl grey.) Also had to use bling. I love to make things sparkle so this was just up my street. Not sure if this qualifies as a tall card but it is a rectangle so I will enter it in the Caarvarks challenge too.

new caardvarks challenge

Here is a couple of cards I have made for this weeks challenges. Caardvarks challenge this week is for tall cards so have made these two. The second one is based on an anniversary card I have made in the past. The first is also for the Hero Arts paper tearing challenge, I used some basic Grey paper to tear out the shape of a christmas tree. The tree is then stamped and embossed with hero arts flourish trio, I also dry embossed the background with snowflakes and sprayed with a mist of blue perfect pearls to give it a shimmer. ( If you double click on the image it will enlarge for a closer look)
Hope to get some crafting done this week as its half term but I also have to help DH decorate our lounge so will be kept busy all week. I will probably be looking forward to going back to work!!

Moving house

I needed to make a card for my God daughter who has just moved into a new house. Made this by tearing colour-core card and a pretty paper I had in my scrap box. Added the border cut with my new punch and then a gingham ribbon. I like the country feel to this card. I have entered it into the Hero Arts paper tearing challenge. The papers are actually a lovely olive green the photo doesn't show the true colour as its a dull day here.

I wanted to try something a little different for this christmas card so I have used the Hero Arts Hanging monkey. I made him a little hat and then coloured with copics. The background card has been sprayed with Shimmer mist to give it a sparkle and the white card is embossed with snowflakes and some stickles added for more glitter. Added ribbon and die cut balloons ,coloured also with copics. Have added this to the Caardvarks blog challenge. ( using ribbon)

Christmas snowman

I wanted to have another go at the Hero Arts challenge this week so decided to make a Christmas card. I have just got a new embossing folder from a company called Crafts-Too its similar to the cuttlebug folders in design and this snowflake one is just lovely. I also managed to find some tiny buttons for the snowmans body, they are really cute!
I used ribbon gathered up to make the sun so as the Caardvarks challenge is to use ribbon in an unusual way I have entered this card as well.

More creating

Although I have been feeling under the weather this weekend, I still needed to make some more cards. The top one is using my new flourish stamp from HERO ARTS. The second one is made using an image the lovely Deborah sent to me with the blog candy I won from her. Coloured this with copics, I'm still learning how to use these but I am quite pleased with the result.
