Tuesday Trigger:- Feather Weather

This is the cute inspirational photograph for this weeks Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger challenge, I love those sweet little Blue Tits, they are regular visitors to my garden and we even have them nesting some years.

Here is a photo I took last year of mum collecting insects for her chicks.

This is the card I have created, I love this postcard shape and have been using it alot lately!

Summer!!

We had another bright sunny day here and I am hoping that at last summer is on its way, I have felt more creative today and made this card using some current Hero Arts stamps and also an old one.  I dusted off the Real Petals stamp of Dill,  not sure if you can see but I have also shadow stamped the image with some Old Paper Distress ink in the background.

I am on school holidays this week and we are of for a day out tomorrow, just hoping the sun will shine for us again!!

CAS card

I am still struggling with my creative mojo so I figured a CAS card would be easier to make, I have used another of my precious wine labels for this card.  As you can see the images stamp really well as they are made of high quality paper. I am entering this card in the current ABNH challenge.

We are having a Bank Holiday weekend in the UK and at last the sun is shining, lets hope it lasts!!

Weekend Getaway

I am back from a fabulous weekend away in the Dorset countryside and thought I would share a few photos, we stayed in the converted apple loft of a 16th century farmhouse that was absolutely stunning.  It was also set in amazing grounds, to get to it we traveled down a small country track for about a mile, so it was also very peaceful, just the birds chirping and the occasional cow mooing!!

We also had beautiful weather!

Now we are back my mojo has decided to stay on holiday and I have struggled to make these cards.

 They are both very simple designs and I am hoping they will kick start my mojo in to gear for me!!

Only a couple more days of work and I break up for half term holidays and I cant wait..

Fun with a Wine Label!

I decided to have a play with a wine label that lovely Jacqueline sent me last year, I still have a few saved, the paper they are made of is high quality and a watercolour effect always comes out really well!  After stamping I have embossed the edges in gold to compliment the gold words already on the label.
This card is for the Flower Power challenge at the Simon Says Blog this week.

Its my wedding anniversary tomorrow, 31 years of married bliss!!  Hubby is taking me away for the weekend down to Dorset, so I am hoping the weather forecasters have got it wrong and its not going to rain!!

Sorry another CAS card!!!!

I have recently found the CAS(E) Challenge Blog and love the idea of the two challenges combined, a sketch and a CAS card, I find both of these take a lot of thought and really test my creativity.  I have dusted off an older Hero Arts stamp for this one, I haven't used the Large Blooms for ages.

Its another wet and cold weekend in the UK, I have just helped my daughter run a stall at her schools summer fete and we have both arrived home drenched and cold, even though the weather was bad a lot of people turned up and I am sure they have raised quite a few pounds for the school funds.

I hope the weather is better where you are.

Some More CAS cards!

 I decided to have another go at the Addicted to CAS challenge this week, I am playing with CAS a little more now and trying to perfect the style. Here is my Rainbow of flowers for this weeks challenge with added sparkle to the flower centers.

I also had time today to make a card for the CASual Friday challenge this week following the Tic Tac Toe board I went with the Polka Dots-Square card_Birthday line. The photo is a little dark as its not so sunny today.

This card also fits the sketch  this week at the CAS(E) this sketch challenge. The Polka Dot Ribbon stamps are from an old Hero Arts set that I got at a car boot sale, a real bargain too!!
Just realized I am too late with this one, nevermind!!

Tuesday Trigger!

I haven't played on the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger challenge for ages, but after seeing this gorgeous photo I had to have a go.
I decided to focus my card on just one of the Petit Fours and then had to look through all my stamps for the perfect flower.  I dusted off a really old Hero Arts background stamp called Outline Flowers, and stamped and embossed in white just a section of the stamp.

The background has been embossed with a wood grain effect.
