Blue Birthday.

I am ready for the festivities, we have the family visiting us this year so lots to do , but I thin k I am there so I have had time to play.  I needed a Birthday card for a friend who loves blue, so I have coloured this Tim Holtz Flower Garden with blue Zig markers.  First I stamped and embossed in white then just coloured, I have also added some splatters of ink and Sequins.  The sentiment is a Hero Arts one that fits exactly into their "Holiday Message" frame, I can see that I am going to get a lot of use of that stamp even after Christmas.
I am adding this to Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Make it Sparkle".

Well I really think this is my last post before Christmas so

MERRY CHRISTMAS
AND
HAPPY NEW YEAR

to all my readers!!

Finished my Cards!!

I was two Christmas cards short so I quickly ran up these two to get in the post today.  This first one is a remake of the snowman shaker I made here.  This time I use an embossing folder for the front panel, I thought it could represent snowballs!  I am adding this to the Wednesday challenge over at Simon Says.

This second card is to go with  the little gift box I made here  A very simple card with lots of Die cuts and the Antique Poinsettia from Hero Arts.

I am not sur if I will have time to blog again before Christmas so I would like to wish all my followers and blogging buddies a very Happy Christmas and a Happy, Healthy and Craft New Year.

Hugs

A Snowy Scene

When I saw the challenge over at Simon Says this week I knew I would have to make a shaker card !  I think the shaker can really enhance a snowy scene, for this card I have used an old Hero Arts stamp "The Winter Town". I have stamped using a variety of blue distress inks and a spritz of water, the front panel is a Tim Holtz embossing folder which I have added some sparkle to with stickles.  The snowflake sticker are from Lidl they are very sparkly and a bargain too.

This was very difficult to photograph as the acetate caused reflection, this was the best I could get.

My DD is coming for the weekend and we are off to Exeter for the Christmas Market, really looking forward to shopping in the market and having some hot mulled wine.  Have a good weekend.

Christmas Gift Holder.

I wanted to make a small gift box for some Nail Varnish and after looking around on Pinterest for some ideas and  I found a design that I liked here,

You can see from the side view how it works.

On the front I have added a gold embossed and die cut Antique Poinsettia (Hero Arts) I have layered it up with some more leaves and the Chloe stem from Memory Box. The Tag is also Hero Arts,
I shall add this to the a2z challenge this month "Anything but a card"  also the Simon Says Challenge "Anything Goes".

Hope you have a great week.

I love using my Poinsettia stamp!!

Yes I do love this Poinsettia stamp from Hero Arts, it really is so versatile and has been my go to stamp for all my Christmas cards this year.  I decided I wanted to make some CAS cards with it so for this card I have just stamped in and gold embossed the stamp and then partially die cut the rectangle then fussy cutting the rest of the leaves.  I have then layered it up on some more white card after adding the strip of ribbon. The "Merry" is a Memory Box die. I couldn't resist adding a few pearls to finish.  I am entering this in two challenges. "Anything Goes " at the Simon Says Wednesday challenge and Die Cut Divas "Layer It"

My second card has proved very difficult to photograph,  I have used a background using the Waxed paper embossing technique, then stamped and embossed in gold the Poinsettia.  I have then added two layers in White.  The sentiment is also Hero Arts.

Another view, I think the wax embossed background is my favourite Technique at the moment, I have used it on so many cards.  I will also add this card to the two challenges.

Just to finish I thought I would show you the view from my craft room window today, its a really cold winters day but the sun is shining and the mist is laying in the hills, so beautiful and inspiring!
