Birthdays.

Just a quick post today as I have a few spare minutes.  I have a few Birthdays in January so wanted to get ahead of the game.  I already had this panel made and coloured with Zig markers so decided to make it up into a CAS card.  The Wavy Scallop die is from Simon Says as is the Birthday sentiment.
A very simple card but I like the clean look.

I am adding this to the current Wednesday challenge at Simon Says "Party Time".

Not sure if I shall have time to post again before Christmas so I would like to wish all my followers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  Thank you so much for finding time to visit my blog and leaving lovely comments.

I can't resist a Box !!!

I spent some time yesterday browsing Pinterest for some ideas and found these little Truffle Box Place Settings".  As soon as I saw them I knew I had to have a go at making some, I love little boxes
for gifts.  I used the free download to cut the box and stand then set about adding my own style.  Its a simple design using some gold foiled scrapbook papers that I had.  I used the Simon Says "Stitched Square" dies and also their "Nadine Snowflake" die for the top.  The name is computer generated.

I shall be adding a Ferraro Roche or something similar, plus a party popper to the box and then use them as place settings for New Year.

Now to get the others made.  I shall be adding  this to the Monday Challenge over at The Simon Says Blog.

New Snowflake Die!!

I thought all my Christmas card making was over for this year but I was lucky enough to get this gorgeous Simon Says Snowflake die from Ebay , it arrived in the post yesterday and I couldn't wait to use it.  Made these two simple cards using Glitter card.  For this one I used the technique I saw here at  Jennifer McGuire's blog to impress the card before adding my snowflake. I love the effect it gives.  The square dies are also Simon Says.

After cutting my first card I had a square of gold glitter card left so made this second one, also added a square of silver glitter card to this, its very sparkly and I love it!!

Adding both of these to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Stitch it".

Crafty weekend!

Luckily most of my Christmas prep is done so I have found time to do some crafting, first up is these tags, just needed a couple more for my gifts and these were super easy.  Just die cutting a little stamping and some Nuvo drops. I bases these on some cards I have made using the Simon Says Stitched Scallop Die and Hero Arts Canvas Stripe stamp.

My second make is this wreath, I saw one very similar in a local shop and it was quite expensive so decided to make it myself.  I love the finished result.

Lastly I made this Birthday card for a friend using a Hero Arts stamp and Zig Markers, just added the sequins for a little sparkle. Made a similar card a while back as a Thank You card and I loved the pretty colours so used the design again for a Birthday.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend .

A change from Christmas Cards!!

I really liked how the Christmas Card in my last post turned out so decided to use the same basic design for a small Birthday Card.  Again using the Simon Says "Stitched Square" dies to create the layers in my card, just added some ink splatters and Altenew flowers coloured with Zig Markers.  Also added some wire and a sentiment from Hero Arts.

I shall add this card to the current Wednesday challenge at Simon Says "Stitch it".

More gift boxes

My daughter loves having her nails painted so I always try to buy her a new varnish for Christmas,  I usually make a small gift holder and hang it from our tree.  This is the one I made this year using a pattern I found on Pinterest.  I have made it from Kraft card and added some PP then added the die cut baubles and sparkly gems.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

They are very easy to make and would hold a variety of small gifts.

I am adding this to the current Wednesday challenge at Simon Says "Gift it".

Although alot of the country are having pretty snow storms here in Dorset it is falling as rain, such a shame would love to see some snow on the hills by our house.  Keep warm everyone.

A very simple card here using a snowflake die and the "Stitched Square die" from Simon Says, just added some gems for added sparkle.

lastly the poinsettia again this time embossed in gold on Vellam before fussy cutting and layering up, love it in the vellam.

We had a little snow here last night but its melted already, pretty while it lasted.

Small Gift Boxes

For the table on Christmas day I like to add a little handmade gift box to each place setting, containing some chocolate mints and a lotto ticket .  Here are samples of the ones I have made this year , the box is cut using my Silhouette machine and I have decorated with die cuts and stamped poinsettias. They are white and blue for the boys.

And red and white for the girls, I have also added name tags and some bells although you cant see the red ones on Fran's in the photo :0( .

I had fun with these but now I need to get on and put up some decorations !!

Dies and Stamps.

More Christmas cards I am afraid,  another using the "Pile of Presents" die from Simon Says this is definitely my favourite new purchase as It makes such lovely easy  Christmas cards and  is very versatile .  I have made another Shaker Card and this time added it to a shaped card base cut with some older Spellbinder dies.

I am adding this to two challenges , Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Anything Goes" and the current Simon Says Flickr group challenge.

This second card took a bit more time as I stamped and embossed the  Hero Arts "Antique Poinsettia" in gold  three times then fussy cut the smaller pieces to add texture. coloured with Zig markers and added some seed beads.  The square base is a Simon Says Die.

Again I shall add these to both Simon Says Wednesday Challenge and the Simon Says Flickr Group challenge.

We have had a lovely few days here, bright blue skies and cold temperatures, I love these crisp days perfect for long beach walks.

Christmas Bottle Label

I have a bottle of Vin Santo to give as a present and wanted to make a bottle label for it.  I have used the Hero Arts stamp Antique Poinsettia which I stamped and embossed in gold three times then fussy cut the images and layered up.  I added some seed beads to the flower for added sparkle.  Then I stamped some extra leaves and coloured green .  I have also layered some die cuts for added dimension.  For the base I just used a large label die but by placing it carefully in my sizzix I added some extra length to the label.  The sentiment is also Hero Arts.

I shall add this to the current Simon Says Wednesday challenge " Food and/or Drink".

Have a great weekend.

Still Busy with Christmas Cards!

I had time to make a few more Christmas cards today, A simple Gold a White card made with the Simon Says Star Flower stamp and Gold embossed.  Stamped the image twice and fussy cut to add the Star.  Used both the Wavy Scalloped Die and the Stitched Suqaue die also from Simon Says.

This card also uses a Simon Says die , this time the "Stack of Presents" and the Canvas stripes stamp from Hero Arts.

I am adding both these cards to the Simon Says Flickr Group challenge which is "Happy Holidays".

This last card uses an older stamp from Penny Black, really love this cute image.  I have cut a tag and then stamped on the image and coloured with Zig Markers.  The background is dry embossed and I then added some bells and ribbon.  Luckily I am going to hand this card to the recipient as those bells make it a hard one to post!

This card is for the current  Simon Says Wednesday Challenge " "Furry Friends"

I have had a really productive weekend as I have also been painting my bedroom furniture.  Hope you have had a great and crafty weekend too.

Had lots of time today to make a few more Christmas cards and decided to concentrate on the younger members of the family.  The first two are made with a really old Penny Black stamp that I have.  I stamped and coloured the image with Zig Markers then die cut and added some Nuvo drops for the snow.  I dry embossed the back panel and layered up the image.

I made the second image into a shaker card, just love making these cards .

My last card is using a penguin  image cut with my Silhouette Machine as someone in  the family loves Penguins!!  The die cuts are by Simon Says and the sentiment is from Hero Arts.
