Thank You!

I needed a couple of Thank you cards to send, I have used old and new stamps for these cards but both have a flowery theme.  This first one is using the Country Blooms set from Honey Bee Stamps, I have stamped in black coloured the leaves with my Zig Watercolour markers, then just added a round of Distress ink to the flowers, An abstract design, but I am pleased with it.  The sentiment and tag dies are by Avery Elle.

This second card uses a Hero Arts stamp and die set that I have had for a while but love, Its the colour layering Hibiscus flower, I have also added some splatters and sequins.  I shall add both these cards to the "Anything Goes" challenge at the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge.

Have a great week

Thanks!

I only have a limited  selection of Simon Says Stamp products but I am keen to enter their flickr group challenge.  I always love a challenge as it often stretches my creativity and makes me try different things.  The latest challenge is to use your favourite technique well if you follow my blog you know I love this wax resist background technique, I have really used it alot if you want to try it yourself look here for all the details.  For the bottom of the card I have used a stamp from Honey Bee Stamps and the Black "Thanks" die is from Simon Says. I have just added a few sequins to finish it off, I love black and pink together always a great combination.

Its a beautiful day here, cold and sunny so we are just off for a walk in the sun.  Have a great weekend.

Winter White Birthday

I had time to make another card for the Wednesday challenge at Simon Says "Winter Birthday"  again I have used my new stamp from Honey Bee Stamps. I have stamped it and embossed in Gold onto some die cut white card, added the glitter strip and layered it up on some coffee coloured card.  The Birthday sentiment die is from Avery Elle, lastly added some pearls.
Have a great week

Wintery Birthday Wishes!

I am having fun playing with my new Honey Bee stamps, this time I have made a card for the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Winter Birthday".   I have chosen blues and gold for my card, wintry colours, this card is two layers, the underneath is just Peacock Blue distress ink blended onto the card.  The top layer is my Honey Bee stamp stamped and embossed in gold then fussy cut, I added a strip of gold glitter paper and the sentiment die.
We have had some really cold weather here and it did snow but didn't last long, there is just a bitter wind now so I plan to snuggle in front of the log burner this afternoon.

A Floral Birthday.

I have had more time to play with my new stamps from Honey Bee Stamps, this set is called "Country Blooms" and I can see its going to be a favourite.  The stamps give lovely clear images and are great for colouring.  This time I have used my Zig Waterbrush markers, then I have fussy cut the image and added it to the oval frame.  The background is created with Distress ink and wax paper.

This card is for two challenges, "New Something" over at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge.   and the "Anything Goes" challenge at LOVE handmade cards FLickr group.

Hope you are having a great week and its not too cold where you are.

Crafty time at last!

Happy New Year to you all, hope you had a great break, unfortunately I got a nasty cold just after New Year which affected my crafty mojo.  Hopefully its back now and I am feeling a lot better too.

I was lucky enough to win some stamps from Honey Bee just before Christmas and they arrived this week, I couldn't wait to ink them up and here are the two cards I have made. This first one has been coloured with my Zig watercolour markers, I loved colouring this pretty design.  I shall enter these cards into ABNH "Anything Goes " challenge and also the Simon Says "New Something "challenge.

The second design has been coloured with Stabilo pens and copics, the sentiment is from Hero Arts.
I have also entered this card into the LOVE -Handmade Cards flickr group challenge, "Anything Goes"

I just thought I would show you my other crafty project that I have been working on, a picture made from sea glass that I have collected from the local beach.  The beach near us is Lyme Regis and it is very famous for being on the Jurassic coast line, lots of fossils are found on the beach here especially ammonites  so my design is based on an ammonite.
