More Flowers!

I have had time to play with my new stamps again and have created these two small cards,  this first one used an old Spellbinder die to make the shaped card.  The stitched circle die is by Avery Elle, I have stamped the Painted Flower in black randomly over the circle, the background is coloured with Zig Brush Markers.  The sentiment is by Simon Says,  to add some sparkle I have added a Wink of Stella to the rose blooms although I can't get a good enough photo to show you the shimmer.

Both my cards are for two challenges the Simon Says Flickr group challenge "Sparkle and Shine" as in real life it has a definite sparkle and also the Simon Says Wednesday challenge "Showers and or Flowers"

My second card used the same Altenew "Painted Flower" stamp, this time onto a die cut  "Stitched Square" from Simon Says , I have layered this up on foam tape for dimension and added the sentiment and lots of pearls.

Hope you are having a fun weekend.

Another shaped card.

I wanted to play again with the "Painted Flower" stamp set from Altenew, I really like the soft effect you can create with this stamp.  I have used the same method as for this card only I decided this time to make a shaped card.  I have coloured the flowers with Zig Brush Markers as you can create a very delicate colour.

I am adding this card to the Simon Says Wednesday challenge"Showers and / or Flowers"

Just a short post as I  need to get into the garden, have a great weekend.

Painted Flowers

I have two new stamp sets to play with after winning over at Virginia's Blog, this set from Altenew is called " Painted Flowers", I love the delicate looking blooms.  I have stamped and embossed in gold before lightly colouring with my Zig markers.  Added the embossed Die Cur sentiment from Simon Says, plus some Nuvo drops and gingham ribbon.

I am adding this to two challenges, the Simon Says Flickr Group challenge "Sparkle and Shine" and the Simon Says Wednesday challenge "Showers and/or Flowers".

Have a great week.

Simple Flowers.

I was lucky enough to win a gift voucher for Altenew on lovely Virginia's blog (thank you again Virginia) and my new stamps arrived this morning.  I got the Simple Flowers and Painted Flowers stamp sets and couldn't wait to ink one of them up.  Made this card using the colour inspiration at the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge Blog.  All the inks I used are Hero Arts, love the vibrant colours and the sentiment is from the Beautiful Day stamp set from Altenew.

We have a busy weekend as the family are visiting for Easter so stamping may have to take a back seat.

Hope you all enjoy the Easter break.

Lambing!!

This card is based on the card in my last post, I so liked the smaller size that I decided to try and make a round version.  I didn't add a sentiment this time as I shall save it  for a specific event and add one then.  I am adding this card to this months challenge at the LOVE handmade cards Flickr group  "Anything Goes".

I also wanted to share these photos, we have a large field in the front of our house which my craft room looks out over, so exciting as  this afternoon this cute lamb was born before our eyes !!  Its still wet in this photo and mum is busy licking her dry.

It was about an hour before the lamb got to its feet, very wobbly still .  Spring is definitely here in Dorset !

Two Birthdays.

I needed two Birthday cards so set to work,  like lots of people I find masculine cards hard to make but as it is a 60th I decided to focus on the numbers which I cut with my Silhouette machine.  I then added the motor bike images using an older Hero Arts set called "Going".  Quite easy straight forward in the end!

This second card I found a lot easier as flowers and girly are definitely my thing!  I have made a few of these smaller square cards lately and like the finishes result.  The frame is cut using the Simon Says Stitched Square dies.  The flowers are also Simon Says from the "Spring Flowers" set.  I have stamped and embossed in white, coloured with Zig Markers  and then fussy cut.  The flower heads and leaves are pop dotted for added dimension.
I am adding both these cards to the Simon Says Wednesday challenge which this week is "Happy Birthday".

Have a great week.

Birthday Flowers.

I am still having fun playing with this Altenew Beautiful Day stamp, the image stamps so clearly and gives a great result every time.  Again I have stamped and embossed in gold as it adds that extra bit of luxury for a special Birthday card.  I have layered it up on a frame made from the Simon Says Stitched Square dies and the sentiment is from Hero Arts.  This card is for the current challenge at the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge Blog.

Its a beautiful day here in Dorset and we have been busy in our garden laying some turf, hard work but worth it, I am looking forward to sitting on the lawn in a few weeks!

More Spring Flowers!

Its been a beautiful week here so not much time for card making as we are re-designing our garden, lots to do!!  I have had time today to make two cards using my Altenew "Beautiful Day " stamps.  For both cards I have stamped and embossed the flowers in gold before adding the colour.  For a change I decided to use a dark background and I really like the gold against the black,  The sentiment is by Simon Says, I have just die cut then embossed.

For this second card I have used the Simon Says stitched squares die to add a frame to the card.
I am adding these to the "Anything Goes" challenge at the Simon Says Wednesday Blog.  Also the second card I will add to the Flickr Group LOVE handmade cards April challenge.

I have another busy week lined up ans my Daughter is coming to stay for a few days, lets hope the weather holds for us!
