Christmas Penguins!

Here is a card for the latest Christmas Kickstart Challenge which this time is "Christmas Birds" .  I knew I had to ink up these cheeky penguins form Heffy Doodles, perfect Christmas Birds!!

I have stamped and coloured them with Zig markers, then fussy cut.

I then added them to the die cut Simon Says Holiday Frame which I also added the snowflakes from the Snowflake Border die.

Such an easy card and another one to my Christmas Stash.

Its another wet day here in Dorset, not sure where our Summer has gone but hoping it returns soon.

Flowery Thanks!

The current Simon Says Flickr Group challenge is "Playing with stencils" and as I don't have many stencils I decided to improvise with my new Leafy Branch die from Simon says.  I cut the image from a piece of old card and used this as a stencil to create the leafy background  with Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink.  I also added some Salty Ocean ink around the leaves.  I then added a Sunflower that I had already stamped and coloured  and found in my bits box.  Not sure of  the make of the stamp.

I then just added the die cut sentiment , also from Simon Says.

Have a great week.

Its been a while!!

Its been a while since I posted a card here,  my daughter is a teacher and she is on her summer holidays, she had planned a holiday of a lifetime this year and was visiting Australia!  Because of Covid it was all sadly cancelled so she had a staycation in Dorset with Mum and Dad.  Its been a lovely few weeks for us all and even our son came down for a week.  It was a little strange not being able to go out much but we did fit in some paddle boarding and lots of long walks plus a visit to our local restaurant, luckily the weather was good although its turned stormy over the past few days.

She has now gone back to Surrey so I have found time to get back in the craft room to make a couple of new baby cards.  They are both very similar but with colour variations to suit a boy or girl.

The elephant stamp is from Heffy Doodles and the square dies are Simon Says.  The baby word is made using the small alphabet set from Altenew.

Very simple to make and this has helped me get back in the card making groove,  its strange without the family in the house and I am missing them.

I shall add these cards to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Oh so Cute".

Have a great weekend
