Snowflakes

Had time to make another card today, also my back is feeling a little better as I have been having a course of Shiatsu Massage.  At last I feel that something is working and I am slowly getting back to normal.
This is a very simple card using two snowflake dies, one embossed in silver and the other in gold, its really sparkly and beautiful.  The sentiment is by Hero Arts and the background embossing folder is my Tim Holtz.
I am entering this in the Simon Says Wednesday challenge "Anything Goes".  Also the Less is More 200th challenge "Celebrations"

Have a great weekend.

Slowly but Surely

I am taking it slowly with my cards this year as I don't want to aggravate my back pain!!   I think that I will have to resort to some shop bought cards this year :0(

I have managed to make two more this weekend, very simple cards with die cuts and stamping , Oh  and lots of sparkle!!!

Hope you have had a good week,

More Christmas Cards!

Two more cards (Still loads to do)  This card has the words embossed in metallic gold (hard to see in the photo)  so I am adding it to the challenge at "Virginia's View.  Its good to be making challenge cards again , I really missed being tested with my designs! I am also adding it to the Hero Arts holiday challenge "Mad about Metallics"

This second card used the Hero Arts Winter Town stamp plus my memory box die.  I have added lots of shimmer with my Wink of Stella" pen although it doesn't show in the photo.

Thank you for all the good wishes I have received, hopefully I am on the mend now!

The top card is made using my Hero Arts "Merry backgound" stamp and some Memory Box snowflakes. I am going to enter this into the Die Cut Divas November Challenge " Holidays" and the Hero Arts Holiday cards "White Out"

For this second card I have used another Memory Box die and a Provo Craft embossing folder.

Hopefully I am back Crafting!

I can't believe that's its been nearly two months since I have posted any cards, unfortunately I have been suffering from a bad neck and shoulder and have been unable to sit for long at the computer or make any cards.   I have had some Physio and some massage sessions and hopefully its on the mend, although I can't overdo it yet :0(

Not only have I missed crafting I have also missed visiting everyone's blogs and I feel really out of touch, Christmas is also approaching and I need to make my Christmas cards.  I really don't want to have to buy them!!

I have been on a weeks half term holiday from school and decided to play around a little!  I have made one birthday card for a friend, her son is really into golf.  For this I used my Happy Birthday die and cut the golfer and Son with my Silhouette Machine.  Quite simple but she was pleased with the finished result!
I have also made a couple of Christmas cards also using my Silhouette to cut the Merry Christmas Frame and adding some die cut baubles.

This card was harder to photograph as its a shaker and the acetate was really reflective!

Its been a while since I entered a challenge but I am adding this to the Simon Says "Anything Goes" this week.

Hopefully it wont be another two months before I post again !!

Autumnal card!!

Its been another beautiful day here and not really very Autumnal yet, but I went again with the challenge at The Simon Says flickr group and made this card with a SS die that I have.

I used distress inks to colour the die cuts, the longest die cut is set into the card while the others have just been adhered to the front.  I seem to be going through a CAS phase at the moment!

New Challenge!!

The Simon Says Stamp flickr group have just announced a new fortnightly challenge hosted by the lovely Barb Engler. Well I am always up for a challenge and although I don't currently own alot of Simon Says products as they are hard to come by in the UK I decided to play along with a couple of dies that I won a few months ago!

The first challenge is a colour challenge, you need to make a card using at least 3 of the following colours, Orange, Yellow, Green, Grey and Black. This is my card its very CAS but I am pleased with the result.

I hope you are all having a great weekend, its great weather here in the UK at the moment, long may it last!!

Patterned Paper!!

I made this card for challenge #7 over at Virginia's View  , both the dies are from Memory Box and the patterned paper is Basicgrey.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

I am also adding this to the Anything Goes challenge at Simon Says this week.

Just a very quick post today as I am back to work/school tomorrow after the summer break and I have lots to do.
Have a great week.

Two cards One Die!!

I have this great Die from Poppystamps called Happy Birthday Background and I wanted to try both a male and female version of a card using it!!  For the top card I have die cut the actual card base and then added some Basicgrey paper behind the cut.  I then stamped and cut two Hero Arts butterflies and added to the card.

The second has been cut on a piece of black card and then adhered to the card blank, I then cut some of the letters with glitter cardstock and glued in place.  The name was cut using my Silhouette machine.

I am adding these cards to the "Anything Goes" challenge over at Simon Says this week.

Hope you are all having a great week.

I have only one week left of my summer holidays, I can't believe how quickly 6 weeks goes and we are back to school next week, the weather has taken a turn for the worse and it looks like rain all week!!  I was hoping to get in the garden before I go back :0(

Lots of fussy cutting!!!!!

Its the last day of term next week and my daughter wanted to give all her class a little present and card.  We have been busy cutting lots of class photographs to make fridge magnets for each of them and I have made cards for her.  I have fussy cut 30 Hero Arts Foxes in different colours to make these little cards.  It took ages and my fingers were sore but it was well worth it.  She loves them!

I cant wait for the summer holidays, I am just hoping the lovely weather will last!!

Have a great week

Lavender Fields!

No Cards today as I have had a very busy weekend, yesterday the school where I work had its annual Summer Fair and Music Festival.  We were very lucky with the weather as it was a glorious day.  The crafty teachers at school had their own craft stalls and I sold lots of my cards.  I must get busy and replenish my stocks now ( any excuse to sit in my craft room ha ha!!)

Today was a bit overcast but my daughter and I still decided to go to the local Lavender Festival,  plenty of photo opportunities as the flowers were stunning!!

Have a great week.
