More Christmas Cards.
Two more Christmas cards to add to my stash, my DD has put in an order as well so I need to keep busy. This Poinsettia from Hero Arts just keeps calling me, I love that its fairly easy to colour and its so versatile. This has been coloured with Zig Markers and then Die cut. A very simple design, I have just added some plaid paper and made it to look like a wrapped parcel. I have just added the gold embossed sentiment and there it is!!
I shall add this to Simon Says Wednesday challenge "Anything Goes."
My second card is also very simple, I have used the Layered Snowflake die from Hero Arts on a piece of Wax Embossed card, then I have cut again to form a bauble shape, just some gold thread and sentiment and another card done.
Beautiful sunny winters day here in Beaminster, long may it last !

A thank you and two more shakers!!
I am still playing along with the 30 day colouring challenge over at Kathy's blog and have three cards here to bring me up to date. This Thankl You card is an old Hero Arts stamp and I have coloured it with Zig markers. The sentiment is a die from Lawn Fawn.
Now I have two more shaker cards using an old Penny Black stamp and an older Hero Arts Snowman. I love making shaker cards for Christmas, its all that extra sparkle!! I have used some Avery Elle dies to create my windows for both these cards. I am adding these to the Simon Says Wednesday challenge "Christmas to Die for."
We are off back to Surrey this weekend for a family get together, I am really excited. Hope your weekend is relaxing.

A busy weekend!!
I was getting behind with Kathy's 30 day colouring challenge, but this weekend storm Angus hit and we have been stuck indoors while the wind howls and the rain has lashed down. This has helped me catch up a bit as I have spent lots of time in the craft room.
For this card I have coloured an old Hero Arts background, I stamped the image in Green and then coloured with Zig markers and Copics. I have added a sentiment and orange sequins. I am adding this card to the a2zscrapbooking challenge "Embellish it"
I have also coloured up the Penny Black "Snowy" image, here are two mini cards that I have made, this blue one is coloured with crayons and I have added some white dots with my Gel pen.
This second card is also using crayons, I have added alot of sparkle to his hat but the dull weather makes taking photos really hard!!
Hope the weather is better where you are!

Let It Snow!
I was inspired to use this Snowflake Die again from Hero Arts as we had our first snow of the year yesterday. It was just a flutter and very wet so didn't lay but was very pretty. This new layering die is so pretty and captures the falling flakes so well. The white card has been embossed with a Tim Holtz folder which looks a bit like a frosty window. The sentiment is also a new one from Hero Arts and I have used it alot this year. I am adding this card to two challenges, the first is over at Severn Hills Craft Blog and is "Inspired by a Christmas Song" this card is Let it Snow and the Frank Sinatra version (definitely the best version). The second is the challenge at A Blog Named Hero which is "Holiday Themed".
Hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Christmas Critters!!!
When I saw this weeks challenge at Simon Says "Christmas Critters" I struggled to think what to do, I am not really into cute animal images. Then I remembered this old Penny Black stamp that I have had for ages. A really sweet image and perfect for a shaker card. I have stamped and coloured with Zig Markers and then using some Avery Elle dies have created this very simple shaker card.
I was so pleased with the end result that I decided to have another go, this time making a parcel tag and just adding some ribbon and bells.
Love how this turned out and I love my new Zig water brush markers, so easy to use, I am addicted!!

Two more Traditional Christmas Cards.
Life has been really busy and I have neglected my colouring, I am now back in the flow and have two cards for Kathy's colouring challenge. I am using the same old Hero Arts Poinsettia and Holly stamps again but I love them and I still need more Christmas Cards. This is a very simple card, the Holly has been styamped and watercoloured with Zig markers then I have fussy cut it out. My background has been splattered with inks and then I have pop dotted the holly for more dimension. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.
This second card was inspired by this beauty from Barb love her unusual colours, I am afraid I wasn't so brave and my flowers are more traditional. Coloured again using my Zig markers.
Have a great week.

Unusual Christmas Colours!!
I was hunting through my patterned papers looking for some Plaid paper so that I could have another go at the Virginia's View challenge when I can across this striped paper and had an idea that it might look good on a Christmas card. I got so carried away that I made two cards in the end, all very simple involving a lot of dies and the Hero Arts "Holiday Messages and Frames set"
I have die cut the Winter Houses then adhered to the of glittery card next diecutting the rectangle with an Avery Elle die. Lastly added the gold embossed sentiment. It looks so shimmery almost like a star in the sky!!
For the second card I reversed the dies to have glittery houses and a striped sky, then I die cut into rounds to look like baubles.
I had fun with these a modern take on Christmas!!

This card is for the Simon Says Wednesday challenge "Thanks" and the Die Cut Divas November Challenge.
Its been a lovely bright and crisp November day here so I have been out tidying the garden ready for winter. Hope you have had a great weekend.

Two cards and more colouring!
More Christmas cards to share with you today , this first card is a shaker showing a wintry scene, the pool background has been made using the Gina K Waxed paper embossed resist technique (one of my favorites). Both the Holly and the Winter Town stamps are old Hero Arts ones that get inked up every year at this time! The Holly has been coloured with Zig markers and I have added some Glossy Accents to the berries. The sentiment is from a new HA set that I have used a lot this year called "Holiday Messages and Frames" I shall be entering this at ABNH "Holiday card challenge" and the Severn Hills Craft Blog "Based on a Christmas song" the song is "Last Christmas " by Wham a favorite that I am sure we will be hearing a lot of soon!
For this second card I have used the Hero Arts "Antique Poinsettia"which I have stamped and coloured with distress markers, using the matching dies I have cut them out and pop dotted onto some patterned paper. I have also added some gold foil to the background paper, I have just got this and found it hard to get right, I obviously need more practice!! This card is for the a2z scrapbooking challenge "Embellish it".
Hope you are having a good week.

More colouring with my new markers,
I have tried some more colouring with my new markers this time I tried to hide my stamping by using a pale ink pad and then coloured with the Zig markers, I love the vibrant colours. Another Christmas card to my stash, I still need to make a lot more and my daughter has put in an order too. I have used some older Hero Arts for this card the "Merry Background" and "Holly". I shall add this card to the ABNH challenge for November "Holiday Themed".

Colouring Challenge!!
After seeing lots of videos I decided to treat myself to some Zig Real Brush Markers, I love to colour but need lots of practice and these pens looked fairly easy to use. Well I am thrilled with them the colours are really vibrant and they are very easy to use! I have been trying to play along with Kathy's 30 day colouring challenge and this is for day 7. I have white embossed my Tim Holtz flowers onto water colour paper and then just coloured. Very simple card but I love the bright pink .
I am entering this into this weeks Simon Says Challenge "Thinking of you" and also a2z scrapbooking challenge "Embellish it".
We went for a long walk this morning round our new village and came across these beauties, we live in the countryside now so lots of farming!!
Well of to experiment some more with my new pens,

More Poinsettias!
I have been having fun practicing my colouring skills while taking part in Kathy's 30 colouring challenge. This Hero Arts Antique Poinsettia stamp is perfect for practicing using my Copic markers. I am enjoying this challenge, so I decided to used my coloured image to make another card for the Virginia's View challenge which is using plaid or stripes. As you can see I have carefully partially cut an oval from this card then fussy cut round my stamped image. I have then used some plaid patterned paper in the background and made a shaker card. The sentiment is cut with my Silhouette machine. I am also adding this to the current Hero Arts Challenge "Holiday Cards" and the ABNH "Holiday themed challenge."

Stripes and a Poinsettia!
I decided to play along with the Virginia's View challenge, its been a while but I am only just getting back into the swing of card making since we moved house,
I have used the Hero Arts Antique Poinsettia again, love this image and fairly easy to colour with my copics. I then die cut the image, the gold embossed stripes are created using a really old Hero Arts cling stamp called Canvas Stripes. The sentiment is also Hero Arts, I have pop dotted the flower up for some dimension and was really tempted to add some sequins as I love a bit of bling!! Decided to leave it plain in the end as I didn't want to make it too fussy.
I will also add this to the current HA challenge "Holiday Cards".

I Love this Snowflake die!!
This card is such a lovely shade of blue and I had a real job photographing it to get a good likeness, hence the two shots, I have also added a close up to try and show all the shimmery goodness.
This card actually fits three challenges this month, Hero Arts "Holiday Cardmaking", ABNH "Holiday themed " and the LOVE cards flickr group. I dont usually post cards for multi challenges but this one fitted the bill!!!
