50th Birthday.
Just a quick post today as we have a beautiful day here and I want to get in the garden. I was asked to make a summer birthday card to include flowers and cocktails , I had fun with this one. The "Maria" is cut from some card that I had already stamped and embossed with the SSS Kaleidoscope pattern and then coloured with Zigs. I also added some glitter paste and when dry cut with Altenew's letter dies. The flowers are from SSS "Centre Cut Flowers" gold embossed and coloured with zigs. For the cocktails I found a free image online, printed and fussy cut and added to the card on foam tape so they stand out.
I am pleased as I think it portrays the tropical theme I was after.
Have a great weekend

Christmas Kickstart Challenge #2
I had time to make another glittery Christmas card for the Christmas Kickstart Challenge #13 again using my Simon Says Snowflake dies.
I cut the large "Alicia" snowflake in gold glitter card and also twice in white card , then layered up, The Christmas words stamp is an oldie from Hero Arts called "International Christmas Script". I stamped this in gold then added lots of gold splatters. Pleased with this card and it will be a great one to produce multiples of.
Also adding this card to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Anything Goes".

New Stamps!!
I was lucky enough to win the Simon Says Flickr group challenge a couple of weeks ago and received my new stamps this week. I couldn't wait to ink them up. This is the "Centre Cut Flowers" cling stamp.
I have embossed in white then coloured with Zig Markers. Used the SSS Square cut dies to form the layers and the Thanks die is also Simon Says. Had fun colouring this , I am sure its going to become a favourite.
I shall enter this in the latest Flickr Challenge, which is "Crazy for Colour".
Now to play with my other new stamp.
Have a great week.

Christmas in June!!
Time for another "Christmas Kickstart Challenge" and the theme this time is "Glitter Sparkle and Shine", my perfect challenge as I love a bit of sparkle and shimmer!!!
For this card I got out my trusty Simon Says Snowflakes and cut one image of the larger snowflake in white and used the negative image. I then lightly distressed with some Salty Sea blue Oxide ink, I cut a smaller snowflake in white glitter card to layer up. The background card also has a lot of shimmer as I used Nuvo Glimmer paste over the SSS Falling Snow stencil.
The Merry Christmas window die is also from Simon Says. I then added a pearl to the centre of the snowflake. Lots of glitter and shimmer , just how I like my Christmas cards!!
Looking forward to the weekend as at last it looks like the weather is on the turn and we are expecting some long awaited sunshine!!

Anniversary Card.
A quick Anniversary card for a young couple I know, I wanted a modern bright looking card, not the best photo as we are having terrible wet and dull weather here at the moment. Its quite a bright card with lovely silver embossing, so hard to get the shimmer!!
The stamp is Simon Says , not sure where I got the heart dies, think they may be Memory Box.
I am adding this to both the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge and the Simon Says Flickr Group challenge.
Hopefully the weather is going to brighten up tomorrow as we are of to a summer Fair, (its not very summery at the moment).
Have a great weekend

Ink Blending.
The challenge over at the Flickr blog this time is "Ink Blending" and its not one of my favourite crafting techniques, mainly because I always struggle to blend the colours with out a marked line. So I challenged myself to have a go !! I know these are Autumnal colours but its so cold here today I needed to use these warm oranges and yellows! The dies are both by Simon Says, I am pleased with the blending and am off to have another play!
Hope its warmer where you are.

Summer Birthday!!
I needed a summery Birthday card and although the weather here isn't very summery at the moment I decided to ink up this older Simon Says Stamp set called "Lemonade". First I used the SSS "Falling Snow" stencil to create the bubbles in the background. So pleased this stencil can be used for other things too!! Next I stamped and die cut the lemons, oranges and limes, I layered these up with pop dots, adding the computer generated sentiment. Lastly I added the stamped glass of lemonade.
I am adding this to both the Simon Says Flickr challenge and the new SSS Instagram challenge.
Waiting for Summer in Dorset, its cold and cloudy here , so different from last summer!! Hope its better where you are!

New Challenge!!
Simon Says has a new challenge on Instagram and I was keep to take part, so inked up my SSS "Even More Spring Flowers" again. I stamped embossed in WOW gold powder and fussy cut the flowers. I then layered up on a hexagon pearl pink card.
I also have a new camera and struggled with getting a good photo, I think the shiny gold confused the camera and lots of the photos I took were over exposed.
I shall also add this card to the current Wednesday Challenge at Simon Says and also their Flickr Group Challenge.
Off to practice some more with my camera!!
