Flower Heart!

I was keen to take part in the current SSS Flickr Challange "Lotsa Love" so made this Valentine card using a stamped panel I had in my stash.  The panel was made using the Simon Says Cosmos Background.  I stamped and embossed in silver then coloured with my Zig markers.  I then cut the heart and placed on the die cut square of dark purple card.  Next O die cut the Love sentiment three times and layered together before adding to the heart.

I shall also add this to the Love handmade cards Flickr group challenge "Anything Goes".

Looking forward to this weekend as we have the family coming to stay.

Birthday pups!!

Made this shaker card for a friend of my sons daughter,  this  stamp is a really old Penny Black one dating back to 2001 but its a fun image and was perfect for this card.  I stamped the image and coloured with Zig Brush markers before fussy cutting and adding to my shaker.

This little tag is for the Christmas Kickstart Challenge this month "Parade of Penguins".  I had this little Heffy Doodle penguin image already coloured on my desk so decided to make this little tag with it.

I have had a couple of busy weeks but need to get back in my craft room to kick start my mojo again.  Hoping to make some more cards today.
Have a great weekend

Flower Die!!

While the cluster Flower die was still out on my desk I had a go at making another anniversary card with it.  This time I placed the die on the edge of a pre cut square of card and only partially cut the image.  I then placed my rubber shim in the die machine and dry embossed the top of the die.
Next I cut another flower and embossed it in gold and layered it up.

I then layered up the whole piece on some gold card before sticking to my card blank. Lastly I added some pearls and the gold embossed sentiment.

I am adding this card to the Simon Says Stamp Instagram Challenge and also the Love Handmade Cards Flickr Challenge.

We have at last had some decent weather here, it was a cold and frosty morning but we had a brilliant blue sky, so I went out with my camera down to the church yard where the snowdrops are beginning to come through.

Lovely to see some colour about.

Thanks!

Another card using the "Floral Cluster " die from Simon Says.  This certainly is a versatile die.  This time I have cut one in white and another in patterned  paper and layered them up.  I then adhered to more patterned paper and added the gold die cut sentiment.  Also from Simon Says.  Just added the pearls to finish it off.

I shall add this to both the Simon Says Flickr group challenge and also the SSS Wednesday Challenge.

We have another week of bad weather coming so I am going to be doing a lot of crafting,  hope it cheers up soon!

Anniversary!!

Still playing with my new Flower Cluster die from Simon Says Stamp, this time I have dry embossed it onto some white card stock, love the effect this gives.  I then added the Gold heat embossed sentiment and layered the card onto some gold mirror card.

This is a very simple design but love the elegant look it achieves.

I am adding this to a couple of challenges, first the "Fun with Florals" over at the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge blog and also the Simon Says Flickr challenge as this die is new to me.

I am off to do some sketching now as I am taking part in the" 30 day Sketchbook challenge" on Facebook, its the second year I have taken part and I really enjoy it.  Hopefully it will improve my drawing skills and also its something else to do while the weather is cold and miserable.

Have a great day.

Hearts and Flowers!

Moving away from Christmas cards I needed to make an Anniversary card, Before Christmas I got The Flower Cluster Die from Simon Says and only got the chance to use it once, I knew it would be perfect for this card.

I die cut the heart into a white rectangular piece of die cut card and then layered the flowers behind it. Then I layered up onto some red card. The sentiment is also Simon Says and I have heat embossed it in gold. Just added the pearls for so,me shimmer.

As the die is new to me I shall add this card to both the Simon Says Flickr Challenge and the SSS Wednesday Challenge,

Have a great week.

More Christmas Cards!!

Happy New Year to all my visitors!!

Although Christmas is over for another year I am still keen to take part in the Christmas Kickstart Challenge.  Last year it really helped me with my cards as I was already ahead of the game when November arrived.  This fortnights theme is "Penguin Parade" and as  I have the gorgeous "Wanna Build a Snowman " set from Heffy Doodles I have no excuse.

I prepared the background by distressing with Salty Sea and Pistachio Distress Oxide then running white Gouache through the Falling Snow stencil by Simon Says.  After adding the die cut mountain scene I stamped and coloured my penguins and snowball with Zig Brush Pens. then fussy cut them.

Finally I glued it all in place and added the sentiment.  Well my first card is in the box for next year !!

Thought I would add this photo I took of the beautiful lights down at West Bay, they were really gorgeous this year and looked amazing reflected in the water!

Have a great week.
