White on White take 2 !

I had time on my hands so decided to make another card for the Christmas Kickstart Challenge "White on White"  For this card I used the Holiday Frame die from Simon Says Stamp and the Snowflake Ornament die from Memory Box.

I cut 4 of the ornament dies and layered up two for each.  Next I cut the frame die and added a background that I had embossed with falling snow. I then added some sparkle to each dot with a sparkly Gel pen. Next I added the ornaments and trimmed with bows and pearls.

 Although quite plain in colour their is a lot of shimmer on this card.

My Christmas box is filling up nicely now and its only mid September, such a great challenge.

Autumnal Wreath Card.

I wanted to make another card for the Simon Says Flickr Group challenge "Autumn Wonder"  I love all the earthy autumnal colours and always need thank you cards in my stash.  My daughter is a teacher and constantly raids my cards box for thank you cards !

 I decided to try and make a wreath card with stamps and dies coloured in the gorgeous warm colours.  I have used the "Leaf Border " and "Leafy Branch " die plus the leaves from one of the Spring Flowers stamp set. 

 I have also added lots of sparkly metallic splashes with my Nuvo  Sunlit Sienna pen.  Lastly the sentiment is cut in a rose gold mirror card.

We had probably the last of the hot summer days yesterday and the Autumn mists arrived this morning, time to get out those woolly jumpers i think!

White on White!

The Christmas Kickstart Challenge #38 is "White on White" this time so I decided to make a snowflake card using my dies from Simon Says.  The background blank has been embossed with a falling snow folder then I added the layered snowflakes.  The sentiment is also Simon Says and I have layered up two cuts for added texture.  Lastly adding lots of pearls for more shimmer.

 

This was a really simple card to make and would be great for bulk making.  Not the easiest card to photograph but its very sparkly with the silver and pearls.

Autumnal Leaves

I have a new die from Simon Says , the Leafy Branch so decided to use it to make a card for the SSS Flickr Group Challenge "Autumn Wonder"

First I created the background by smooshing some Autumnal distress inks onto my die cut base, when dry I added some white gouache and some splashes of  Sunlit Sienna Nuvo marker to give a shimmery effect.  Next I die cut the branch twice, colouring the leaves of the second set and layering up. Layered onto a red card base and added the red die cut sentiment.

 The leaves are beginning to turn here although we are having a bit of and Indian summer after the wet cold August. Went to the beach yesterday and swam in the sea, which was cold and exhilarating. Must make the most of these days before winter sets in.

Birthday Flowers

Made another card using the So Beautiful cling stamp from Simon Says.  I stamped and embossed in copper and coloured with my Zig markers.  I then die cut the photo frame (Not sure of the maker of this die, I have had it for ages) and framed my flowers.  Lastly I added a die cut sentiment cut in copper metallic card.

 I love this new stamp and its so easy to colour.  I am adding this card to both the Simon Says Stamp Instagram challenge and the Love Handmade cards Flickr challenge.

Christmas Kickstart

 

Made this card for the Christmas Kickstart Challenge , the theme this time is "Christmas Fur babies"  The only stamp I had that was suitable was this really old Penny Black stamp featuring these cute bunnies.  I stamped in a soft green and then coloured with Zig Markers.  I also added some snowflakes to the background card in a pale blue.

 The large glittery die cuts is from Simon says . Love the soft delicate colours of this card.

I am busy upcycling some furniture at the moment to go in my dining room, its a large welsh dresser and its taking a lot longer than I thought.  Looking forward to getting it finished now as the room is a mess!!

New Stamp !!

 

I was lucky enough to win a Simon Says Gift card over at the Love Handmade cards Flickr group and this "So Beautiful" flower stamp was one of my purchases.  I always love a flower stamp and this one was so much fun to colour using my Zig Brush markers.

First I stamped and embossed in copper before colouring.

Then I fussy cut the image added the gingham bow and raised it up on foam tape on my card base.  The sentiment is computer generated.

I am adding this card to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Stamp It", the Simon Says Instagram Challenge and Flickr Group Challenge. 

Another dull day in Dorset so I think its time for a craft room tidy up , it hasn't been done in a while and definitely need it!!
