Poppies.

I had another chance to play along with the Wednesday challenge at Simon Says "Use Plaid", this time I have used the "Painted Poppy" stamp set from  Altenew.  I have used the Simon Says Scalloped Die again, only turning it on its side for a different look.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.
I have also added some ink splatters and pearls.

Its a beautiful day in Dorset and I am going for tea in the garden, just perfect!

Two posts in two days!!

I cant believe it, I have found time to make another card!! I really wanted to take part in the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Use Plaid"and after sorting through my patterned papers I managed to find some Plaid paper.  The flowers are from the Altenew set "Painted Flowers" which I have stamped and fussy cut.  The scalloped die is from Simon Says, added lots of sparkle with some wire and sequins.  Not my usual colour choice but I like it!!

I am also adding this to Virginia's Summer Blog Party Challenge.

Just thought you would like to see this  photo of one of the cows in the field opposite our house, such a lovely face!!

Back on Track!!

It's been a while since I had time to make a card, but I am back on track and found time to make two today for a couple of challenges.  This first card is using Simon Says "Stitched Square"die and "Thanks"die with the "Zen Floral" stamps from Honey Bee .  I have coloured with Zig markers and added some pearls. This is for the challenge over at the Simon Says Flickr group " Black and White with a splash"

My son asked me to make this card, he wanted a bright sparkly card for his friends little daughter Amelie.  The stamp is from Hero Arts and the window die for the shaker element is  from MFT.  I cut her name with my Silhouette machine.  I am adding this to the "Anything Goes" challenge at the Love Handmade Cards Flickr Group.

Patterned Paper

We are back from a weeks house sitting for my cousin and I have at last made it to my craft room again, I wanted to join in the Wednesday Challenge at Simon Says so hunted through my huge stash of patterned paper to do this fussy cut card.  I used the "Spring Flower" stamp set from Simon Says and also their "Stitched Square "Dies, also added some pearls for a little sparkle.

I shall also add this to the LOVE handmade cards Flickr group challenge ,which this month is Summer Celebrations.

Here are three shots I took in my cousins garden, he is a huge wildlife fan and encourages it to visit his garden.  The badger is a regular visitor, he loves peanuts!!

The squirrels eat all the seeds that fall from the bird feeders.

And this is a Damsel fly that was attracted to the pond in the garden.

Summer Poppies!

May and June have been very busy months for me including , a holiday to Nice and a weeks trip with my daughters school to Purbeck so I have not stepped foot in my craft room for ages, I received some new goodies before I went on holiday to France and have just found time to play with them.  I made this card for my friends wedding anniversary next month with my new Painted Poppy stamp from Altenew. The Die cut frame is from "My Favourite Things" and I love the effect.

I stamped and gold embossed the sentiment onto vellum.  I shall add this card to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge  which is "Emboss it" and also the Flickr group "Love Handmade cards" June challenge "Summer celebrations".

Unfortunately I shall be unable to craft now for another couple of weeks  as we are housesitting for my cousin.  Hopefully July will be a bit quieter and I will get to play again with my new stamps and also do some blog visiting.

Emboss Resist

I have just received this Simon Says Stamp "Star Flower Background" as a recent prize and I just had to ink it up straight away.  This is the perfect stamp for the emboss resist technique (one of my favourites)  For this first card I have used a piece of patterned paper and stamped in white before distressing with Tea Dye ink.  I then highlighted the hearts and dots with a gold pen.  The sentiment is Hero Arts which I have layered up and added some wire detail.

 For this second card I have stamped and embossed in gold and the distressed with Raspberry, Mustard Seed and Ripe Persimmon inks.

I shall add these cards to the Simon Says Flickr Group challenge#71  which is "Favourite Technique".

Birthday Roses.

I was lucky enough to win a gift card for Simon Says Stamp at the Love Handmade Cards Flickr Group challenge and my goodies arrived this week.  I couldn't wait to try them out and here is the card I made.

I have used the Altenew "Painted Flowers" which I have stamped and fussy cut, the scalloped die and sentiment are from Simon Says, I then added the pearls and gold thread before layering up on the spotty patterned paper I found in my scraps box.

I am adding this to two challenges, Simon Says Wednesday challenge "Going Dotty" and The Love Handmade Cards Flickr Group May challenge "Bring on the Flowers"

We are set for good weather again this weekend so its out in the garden for me, hope you all enjoy your weekend.

Pink Flowers

I had chance to make another card for the Simon Says Wednesday challenge and the Simon Says Flickr group challenge.  This time using the Spring Flowers stamps from Simon Says which I have stamped and embossed in gold and coloured with Zig Markers, I have then fussy cut ready to adhere  to my panel.  I coloured the panel by putting Zig markers on some acetate and spritzing with water before smooshing it on my watercolour paper panel. The sentiment is Hero Arts,

In the Pink!

I have been playing again with the "Simple Flower" stamps from Altenew, love the modern look to these flowers.  This is a very simple card stamped and an added Simon Says sentiment and sequins.

Another card for my daughter, as a teacher she is always asking for "Thank You" cards.

Shaker Birthday.

Its been a Bank Holiday weekend here in the UK so our daughter and son cam,e to visit and we have been out and about.  My daughter wanted a Birthday card for a friend so I quickly put this Shaker card together for her.  The stamps are the "Simple Flowers" from Altenew  and the square frames have been cut using Simon Says "Stitched Square "Dies.  It was hard to get a decent photograph as the acetate was very reflective.

I am adding this to the current Simon Says Flickr challenge#70 which is "Anything Goes."
