Thinking of you.
Had time to make another card for the Wednesday Simon Says Challenge "Thinking of you" again I used the Script stamp from Hero Arts , the leaf stamp is from Altenew's Beautiful bloom stamp and using my Misti I stamped in various shades of Distress ink. The lovely Leaf Die is from Simon Says again I have coloured with Distress inks. Hard to see in this photo but the background card is stamped and embossed in white using the Hero Arts Woodgrain stamp.
I shall also add this card to the Simon Says Flickr Group challenge.
Have a great week.

Autumn Leaves
The leaves are turning colour now and I was inspired to make this card for the Simon Says Flickr challenge "Fall is in the Air". The Leaf die and Stitched Square die are both from Simon Says and the Canvas Striped stamp is an old one by Hero Arts. Had fun colouring the leaves with Distress inks .
Also adding this to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Thinking of you" and the CAS watercolour challenge ( a new challenge for me, thanks Betty for the heads up.
Its a lovely day in Dorset and we are off out for a walk, have a great Sunday.

Flower Challenge Take 2!!!
I found some time to have a second attempt at the Flower Challenge "Use your Favourite Flowers" so pleased I have found this challenge, I love using flowers on my cards. Check the challenge out there are lots of prizes ( if I were lucky enough to win The Concord and 9th stamps from Severn Hills would be my choice).
As I said in my last post I have lots of favourite flower stamps and this is another one from Altenew called Painted Flowers. The writing stamp is an oldie from Hero Arts and the background leaves are from Altenew's Beautiful Blooms set. Just coloured with Zig markers and added a few sequins for sparkle.
I shall also add this to the current Wednesday Challenge at Simon Says "Thinking of you".
Have a good weekend

New Challenge for me!!
I have found a new challenge blog and its one I am sure to visit again as its called "The Flower Challenge" and as you know I love making cards with flowers.
The theme is use you favourite flower and this Altenew "Beautiful Bloom" is a definite favourite although I do have a few flower stamps in my stash that I love to use. I have stamped and embossed the flower twice in White then have fussy cut and layered up. The striped background is an old stamp from Hero Arts and the Scalloped die is Simon Says.
There are lots of great prizes ( I would love to with the Concord and 9th stamp from Severn Hills Crafts) have a go there is still time to enter.
I am also adding this to the Simon Says World Cardmaking Day challenge.
Its a rainy day here so hopefully I can ink up my stamps again!!

Pearly Tree!
I found time to make another Christmas card to add to my box, again I have used dies by Simon Says and Tree stamp and die by Hero Arts adding gold embossing and pearls for added shine. Another simple card .
Adding this to the current Simon Says Wednesday challenge and the Anything Goes challenge at the Simon Says Flickr Group.
It has really turned Autumnal here now so I am finding time to make some pickles and chutney ready for Christmas then I must crack on and make some more cards!

Christmas Die Cuts.
I have just had a week away in sunny Cornwall and have found it hard to get back into my card making. I really needed to crack on with my Christmas cards so tried to get my mojo working I made these two small cards using dies and embossing folders.
The square stitched die is from Simon Says and the snowflakes from Hero Arts, the sentiment is also Hero Arts.
I am adding both these cards to the challenges at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge Blog and also the Flickr Group Challenge.

Stretching my stamps!!
I am always looking for ways to stretch my stamps and after planting up my winter tubs with Cyclamens I was inspired to make a Christmas card with the "Spring Flower" set from Simon Says Stamp.
I Gold embossed the blooms from the set and coloured with Zig Markers then I added some leaves from the Altenew "Simple Flowers" set. The Square dies making up the frame are also from Simon Says and the sentiment is Hero Arts. So I used three different stamp sets to make up the design and I am really please with the result!
I shall add this card to both the Simon Says Wednesday challenge which this week is "Pop it Up" and also the Simon Says Flickr Group challenge #80 which is "Emboss like a Boss" and the Naughty or Nice Challenge for the month "Frame it".

Christmas Bauble
Just a quick post as I had time to make another card for this weeks Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Clean and Simple" I used the Simon Says "Stitched Square Dies" for the background, the gold embossed script is by Hero Arts and I am not sure where the bauble die is from, again a very simple card and another for my Christmas box.
I shall also add this to the Simon Says Flickr Group challenge "Emboss like a boss".
Have a great week

Die cuts and Embossing!
I needed a label for a Birthday present again this stamp is an older Hero Arts one, the background is made using the Wax Embossed Resist technique which Gina shows to perfection here. I have used the Simon Says Stitched Square dies to cut the shapes carefully positioning them to make rectangles, such a great way to stretch your dies further.
I will add both the tag and card to the current Wednesday challenge "CAS" at Simon Says and the Simon Says Flickr Challenge "Emboss it ".
Have a great weekend

Watercolour Poinsettia.
Just a quick post today as we are decorating and I need to get on with it !
Love this "Antique Poinsettia" stamp from Hero Arts, I have stamped with Distress inks and then using water and a paintbrush dragged the colour into the image. I then Die cut the rectangles and added a sentiment and some pearls. Such a simple card but I am pleased with the out come.
I am adding this to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Stamp it" and also the Love Handmade cards Flickr Group challenge.
Also made this spinner card based on a card I made the other week, This time I have three layers using both gold and silver embossing, I then added the stoned split pin to make the elements spin.
This is for both the Simon Says Wednesday challenge and the Simon Says Flickr group challenge.
Hope you are having a relaxing weekend.
Hugs
Sally
