New Baby!

A new baby card for the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Animal Fun" using Heffy Doodle "Elephant" stamps and Simon Says Square dies.  I stamped and cut the elephant on some patterned paper and coloured the balloons with Zig Markers.

I shall also add this card to the Simon Says Flickr Group challenge "Splatter it".

Its our Wedding Anniversary today 38 years and its certainly a strange Anniversary, we usually try and go out for the day and have a meal somewhere.  This year because of lockdown its very different, we have ordered a takeaway from a restaurant in Bridport and I am looking forward to that but I am missing normal life.  Hoping we can get back to some sort of normal soon.

Cute Gnome Die

I made another card for the current Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge "Splatter It" this time I used the cute Li'l Gnome die and made a Christmas Card.  Always good to add another to my stash.
I created the background by colouring with Zig Markers onto some acetate and spritzing with water , then smoshing it onto a piece of die cut card. I also got an old toothbrush and splattered the background.

Next I added my die cut Gnome and a sentiment, very quick to make so this would be great for batch card making.

Splatter it!!

The current challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Flickr group is "Splatter it"  so I decided to make a really simple card and splatter the ink.  I stamped the flowers from the SSS Spring Flower set in black ink.  Next I got a piece of acetate and scribbled on it with Zig Brush markers, I then misted with water and placed over my flowers to add the colour.

Then I got an old toothbrush and splattered some ink over the remaining card.    Just needed to add the sentiment and voila, all done.  Quite an easy card to make but still pretty.

I shall also add this card to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Use Dies and Punches" and the Flickr Love Handmade cards challenge

Christmas Kickstart Challenge

This months Christmas Kickstart challenge is "Wreathed in Christmas Smiles" and although I don't have any wreath stamps I wanted to play along.  I decided to die cut lots of coloured snowflakes and make a wreath.

I then stuck all the snowflakes onto my card and die cut the Li'l Gnome die from Simon Says and add him to the wreath.  The sentiment was computer generated.

I am also adding this card to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Use Dies and/or Punches."

Hope you are having a good weekend, the weather here is meant to change and get cold here so I am going to make the most of the sun and do some gardening.

Sending Hugs!!

Whilst the Simon Says Flora Background stamp was out I had another go at colouring it, this time I stamped and gold embossed onto a piece of patterned paper.  Next I coloured with Zig Brush markers and highlighted with my white Posca pen..

I then die cut the two tabs and embossed the sentiment on the white one.

I am adding this card to both the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge and also the SSS Flickr Group challenge.

I am so lucky to live in deepest Dorset and with this lockdown still going on and people confined to their homes I am lucky that the countryside is on my doorstep. We often go out early in the morning for our walks and I thought I would share some photos for you to see.

I hope where ever you live you are still able to get out for a walk.

Hello!

I am slowly getting my mojo back and made this card today for a couple of challenges.  I used the Simon Says Flora Background and stamped in Bundled Sage distress ink onto some water colour paper.  I then water coloured with a selection of Distress inks and some Zig Brush marker. Highlighting the flowers with a white Posca pen.

Before adhering to the card I added a strip of Vellum and then the die cut sentiment and some pearls.

I shall add this card to both the Simon says Flickr challenge and the Simon Says Wednesday challenge " Anything Goes".

Spring Flowers!

After two weeks of beautiful sunny Spring weather we are having a cold wet day here , so plenty of crafting time for me!  Made this card for both the Simon Says Flickr challenge and the Love Handmade cards Flickr challenge which are both "Anything Goes" this time/.

For this card I used the Artful Flowers stamp set from Simon Says, stamping, colouring with Zigs and fussy cutting.  I used the Circle Birthday die (cut in a very pastel patterned paper ) as a frame for the flowers.

Its my hubbys Birthday on Sunday (and its a biggie with a zero on the end) and we should have been celebrating with the family in Turin, Italy this weekend.  Instead we are locked down in Dorset , hopefully it will still be a good day , the kids have put together a quiz for us all to do on a video link!!  So looking forward to this being over and we can get away and celebrate again!!

Christmas Kickstart Challenge

This months Christmas Kickstart Challenge is "Create a Scene"  so I dragged outs lots of different stamp sets to create this little winters scene.  The tree is from a very old Hero Arts set and the reindeer is part of the Clearly Besotted set "Lets Prance"  the snowman and penguin are Heffy Doodle.  Sometimes its good to mix your stamps up!!

They are all stamped and coloured with Zig Brush markers.

Had fun with this and its another Christmas card in my stash.

Girly Birthday!

Still struggling with my mojo but needed a girly Birthday card,  I used different sets of stamps to create this card.  The dog is from an older Sugar Peas set called "Caring Critters" and the balloons from the Simon Says set "Critter Crowd".  I stamped coloured with zigs and fussy cut all the elements.  Used the SSS Happy Birthday circle and stuck the pieces on the inner circle.  The background paper is years old but perfect for this girly card.

I am adding this card to both the Simon Says Flickr challenge and the Love handmade cards Flickr Challenge , both are "Anything Goes" this time!

Hope you are all staying at home and keeping safe, here in the UK we have been blessed with some really good weather so I am finding getting in the garden really therapeutic. Fingers crossed we can get back to some normality very soon.

Spring Flowers!!

During this lockdown and isolation period I have been spending alot of time in the garden, weeding and watching the Spring flowers making an appearence.  It gave me some inspiration to make a card and I have used the Simon Says "Even more Spring Flowers" set.

I stamped then coloured in bright colours with my Zig Markers then fussy cut them all out.  Next I layered them all on a die cut rectangle and added the sentiment.

I shall add this card to the current SSS Flickr Challenge "Happy Spring" and the SSS Wednesday Challenge "Happy Birthday".
