A late card!!

I had planned for yesterdays post to be my final before Christmas but as I sat in my craft room yesterday wrapping some gifts I had an idea and this card came to life.
Again a very simple card using an embossing folder and die cuts all from Simon Says.  Also added lots of tiny gems for sparkle.

I always have a bunch of snowflakes already cut in a box so this came together really quickly, I then decided to add the vellum for the sentiment base.

I am adding this card to the challenge at Lets Squash It "Your Call"

Still making Christmas Cards!

Still have a few last minute Christmas cards to make so went for a fairly simple design.  The background is embossed with the SSS Crystal Distortion embossing folder, I then added the die cut SSS Chunky Merry cut with gold glitter card.  last I added some silver snowflakes and gems.

I am adding this card to both the "Lets Squash It "Your Call challenge, and the SSS Flickr Group challenge "Anything Goes"
Lots of last minute bits to do before Christmas, just have my fingers crossed that Christmas goes ahead this year and doesn't get cancelled at the last minute like last year because of Covid!!

Have a great week

Winter Snow!

Cracked Pistachio and Salty Ocean are my favourite combination of Distress Oxides and they make a fabulous background for snowflakes!

A simple distressed background with added flicks of white gouache paint and stamped snowflakes in gold silver and white embossing.  The die cut  snowflakes are from Simon Says and are glittery and shiny.

I am adding this card to the Christmas Kickstart challenge " If its Christmassy Link it up!" and the SSS Flickr challenge also "Anything Goes"

I am off to visit my daughter and new Grandchild Eva next week so my daughter can have some down time and get her hair cut.  Very excited!!

Holly Berries!

I recently won this Holly Side Strips die from Poppy Stamps and couldn't wait to have a play with it.
I die cut the holly and coloured with my Zig markers.  The Chunky Merry die is from Simon Says and I decided to stick with the red, green and white theme.  Just added red gems for sparkle.

Such an easy card to make but so bright and cheerful.

I shall add this card to the current SSS Flickr group challenge "Winter Wishes".

We are off to do some Christmas shopping today just hoping the shops aren't too busy! Have a great day.

Winter Wonder!

I wanted to try something a little different with this Simon Says Forest Border embossing folder.  I used kraft card in the folder and the sponged lightly with a white ink pad. I then highlighted the trees with a shimmery gel pen.

I also used the SSS falling snow stencil and some nuvo glimmer paste lastly adding the gems and gold die cut sentiment.

this card was extremely hard to photograph as it is really shimmery and sparkly, I love the subtle look.

I shall add this card to the current SSS Flickr challenge "Winter Wonder"

Have a great week

Christmas Wreath!

I have just got the Ring Wreath Die from Simon Says and couldn't wait to have a play with it!  First I cut the die three times in sliver and pink glitter card and also white card. I then placed the pink wreath onto a square card blank and added pink, white and solver circles, I also added a mixed selection of gems to some of the circles.

I then stamped and embossed my sentiment in silver and added some coiled wire underneath it.

I am adding this card to the challenge at the Simon Says Flickr group "Creating for the holidays".

Enjoy your week

Another simple Christmas card using an embossing folder and dies from Simon Says Stamp!

The background folder is called Crystal Distortion and its so versatile, suitable for all sorts of cards.

After embossing I added loads of gems to the cross points for added sparkle, I then cut a few different snowflakes in white and pink glitter card and layered onto my card front. finally adding the silver embossed sentiment.

Stencil and Emboss.

The "Lets Squash it" challenge this month is to use a "Stencil and Emboss"  For my card I first used the SSS Spring Boho Circle stencil and some Cracked Pistachio and Salty Ocean Oxide inks to on my rectangular die cut blank.  I then used the Cuttlebug swirl frame embossing folder running just the bottom edge through my machine so that just the edge was embossed.

I then added some Altenew painted flowers layered up to add some dimension lastly adding the Birthday die cut in gold.

Making this was a change from Christmas cards but I need to get back to it as my daughter needs a few.

Glitzy Christmas Trees.

Using my new SSS Crystal Distortion embossing folder again, I know this is going to become a favourite.  This time I used some red mirror card so its very shimmery but a pain to try and photograph.

A very simple card to make, I just added the die cut trees from SSS Chunky Trees set and a gold embossed sentiment from Hero Arts.
