After seeing this article and beautiful card by Debby I was inspired to colour on some vellum, first I stamped and embossed the Poppies by Hero Arts with Antique Verdigris embossing powder and then coloured in with a mixture of Distress markers and Copics. After cutting with a fancy edge die from Avery Elle, I then layered up the image onto some linen look grey card stock . Finally adding the pearls and bakers twine, I have left off the sentiment as I like to have some blank cards ready to add the sentiment when needed.
Here is a close up of the image, I love the effect of the embossing powder, so pretty.
Here is a second card for the Simon Says Tag challenge, I have also based this on Debby's gorgeous card, I have cased her sketch. I was fun playing with non Christmas stamps for a change!!

Beautiful card, I really like the effect the embossing powder gives.
Hi Sally! I smiled big when I saw your comment on my blog--thanks for visiting! LOVE your floral cards, especially on vellum. So pretty!
gorgeous cards Sally. I really love the tag one. It's so bright and cheerful.
Lovely cards, Sally! And a very BIG thank you for the Christmas card. It really helped cheer me up as I am struggling with things at the moment due to constant pain. I'm unable to craft at the moment but will try and send you a little something in the new year when hopefully life may be back on track a wee bit more. Jo xxx
Hi Sally, I couldn't find the link to look at the card you mentioned. I love the gold speckles in the verdigris embossing powder, what a beautiful card you made!
Both cards are gorgeous. Love the tropical flowers on the tag card. Thanks for playing along Simon Says Stamp Tag it challenge.
