CAS card today!
Had a little time to craft today so went for this CAS card using on of my favorite Honeybees stamp"Country Blooms" and lots of dies. The circle die is layered onto foam to create some dimension to the card, also added lots of pearls for some sparkle. A much simpler card than the last post, back to my comfort zone lol!
Lots of layers here so I am adding it to Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Layer it up".
Have a great week

Stretching myself!!
I have been inspired by some cards on Sharon's Pinterest page, she does some amazing colouring with Zig Brush Markers and I wanted to have a go at her style. This is my finished card and I am not sure if I have over worked it but I am pleased for a first try. Need lots more practice!!
The stamp is Tim Holtz Flower Garden and the rectangle die is from Simon Says, I cut the vertical Birthday image with my Silhouette. There are a few layers here so I am adding this to the current challenge at the Simon Says Wednesday Blog.
Its another wet and dreary day here so colouring flowers helps to brighten my mood !!
Hope you are having better weather.

Colouring Challenge.
I have been taking part in Kathy Racs 30 Day colouring challenge and yesterday I coloured this image from Honeybees stamps. I used distress inks as water colours added some highlights with Zig Markers and then edged the image with a grey copic pen. The Square dies are from Simon Says Stamp.
So today I finished my card, adding some more highlights to the image and then mounting on a square card. I then added some pearls and the silver embossed sentiment.
Adding this to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Layer it up ".
Its my Birthday today and hubby is taking me out for lunch, looking forward to a Crab Linguine !!
Have a great day.

Thinking of Summer!!
This cute "Artful Flower" stamp from Simon Says reminds me of the Clematis I have in the garden, such a pretty flower that's why I chose this colour combination for my card. I am still trying to take part in Kathy's 30 Day colouring challenge and this is my card for Day 9. Used the flowers I watercoloured yesterday and added them to the card after stamping some leaves and flowers from the Altenew "Beautiful Day" stamp set.
I am adding this card to the current Simon Says Wednesday Challenge and their Flickr Group Challenge.
This card makes me think of Summer and it seems a long way off at the moment, the weather here is dull wet and very dreary. Hope you are having better weather!!!

Happy Birthday!
In between decorating our bedroom ( and waiting for paint to dry) I found a little time to make a card. Used the Beautiful Day Stamp set from Altenew and Square die and sentiment from Simon Says. I coloured the flowers with Zig Brush markers , my favorite colouring medium. The sentiment is stamped and embossed in gold.
I also layered up the flower and also layered up the square onto craft foam for more dimension.
I am adding this card to the Simon Says Wednesday Blog "Add a Sentiment" and also the Simon Says Flickr Group Challenge "Friendship".
Off to put the second coat on the walls now !!

Friends Card!
Still practicing with my Zig Brush Markers, they really are fun to use and you can create lots of great effects. This time I have stamped and embossed in white the "Kaleidoscope leaves " background from Simon Says onto water colour paper. Next I randomly added colours and then added lots of water, easy to do and a pretty finish.
I cut the sentiment with my Silhouette machine and just added some sequins for sparkle, I am really pleased with the final card and know just where its going !
I am going to add this to two challenges, first on the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge Blog " Add a Sentiment" and also the Simon Says Flickr group challenge "Friendship".
We are busy decorating at the moment but I have still found some time to create while the paint is drying. Hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Two New Cards
This card is so out of my comfort zone as I much prefer flowery, girly cards but after seeing these new Picture Book Animal dies over at Simon Says I really wanted to have a go with them Luckily I won a gift card and added this monkey die to my basket. The Quadrangle Frame die is also by Simon Says. I did add some colour to the monkey with my Zig Marker as I thought the image needed lifting a bit. Really pleased with the result (may have to get more of these dies lol).
I shall add this to the Simon Says Wednesday challenge blog "Add a Sentiment".
I am trying to take part in Kathy's 30 Day colouring challenge and this is a stamp from Tim Holtz that I coloured with my Zig Brush Markers. I definitely need some more practice with my water colouring!!
I shall also add this card to the Simon Says challenge this week.
Have a fun weekend.

Impressionism!!
I have decided to take part in the 30- Day Colouring Challenge organised by Kathy at The Daily Marker Blog. I am not a great colourer but wanted to play along as much as I can.
Here is my first card and its a water colour, but as I am not great at using water colours I decided to take the Impressionistic approach and just splash on the colour with lots of water not worrying too much about the lines. I am pleased with the end result, bright and cheerful on a grey day!!
For this card I stamped and embossed in white onto water colour paper using the Artful Flowers from Simon Says. I then just roughly coloured with Zig markers and lots of water. The sentiment is die cut and I have attached it to some Vellum. Then just added a few sequins for added sparkle.
I am going to add this card to the current Simon Says Flickr group challenge "Water Colouring".

Another New Stamp Set!
I have just received the Artful Flowers stamp set from Simon Says in the post and wanted to have a play. With the current challenge at Simon Says Wednesday Blog being "Patterned Paper "I decided to paper piece the flowers for my card. Used an old BasicGrey pad and stamped and fussy cut all my flowers. Added pink Nuvo drops to the flower centers and then layered them up on a frame made with Simon Says "Stitched Square" dies, I have certainly got a lot of use from these dies, definitely my favourite.
Lots of dimension with the flowers.
Have a great weekend,

New Stamp !!!
I was lucky enough to win a Simon Says gift card recently and this Kaleidoscope Leaves Background stamp was one of my new purchases. It arrived in the post this week and I couldn't wait to ink it up. I wanted to add it to the Wednesday Challenge at Simon Says so decided to gold emboss it onto some patterned paper from my stash. I also added some gold to the edge of the panel for extra shine! I then watercoloured a few of the leaves with Zig Markers. I really love the effect. I also added some Gold Nuvo drops for some dimension and poped up the sentiment on foam.
Such a pretty stamp I am sure its going to be well used!!

Dreaming of Spring!
The weather here has been dull and dreary and I am dreaming of Spring, so decided to dust of this stamp set from Simon Says called "Spring Flowers". First I cut two squares using the Stitched Square dies from Simon Says. Then I stamped lots of flowers and leaves on the smaller square embossing in white. I then roughly watercoloured with Zig Markers, I wanted it to be a bit abstract rather than stick to the lines. This is just a small 4 x 4 card but small can be beautiful!!
The Happy die is also Simon Says.
I am adding this to the current Simon Says Flickr Group challenge "Watercoloured".

A Birthday or maybe a Valentine.
I was sorting through my card box and found this piece of Kraft and decided to make a card with it for a change. I had this new Simon Says "Wonky Die " for Christmas and love the faux stitched outline. Stamped the "Star Flower" background , stamped and embossed in white. I then coloured in the hearts added the die cut red heart, crinkly wire and pearls . The sentiment is also from Simon Says, embossed in gold.
I will probably use this as a Birthday Card for someone special.
I am adding this card to the current Wednesday Challenge at Simon Says "Something New" and also the "Anything Goes" challenge at the LOVE handmade cards Flickr Group.
Have a great week.

New Toys !!!
I was lucky enough to get some new crafty goodies for Christmas and at last I have had chance to have a play with them. Its not the best photo as we are experiencing lots of rain and dull days here.
I had these Bold Alphabet dies from Altenew and the Wonky Rectangles from Simon Says so have used them both on this card. First I cut out three sets of letters and then stamped with the "Country Blooms " set from Honey Bees Stamps. I coloured with Zig Markers and layered up the letters. The base card is cut with the Wonky Rectangle die. Just added some sequins and the stamped "you" sentiment.
I shall add this card to the "Anything Goes" challenge at Simon Says and also the Simon Says "Flickr Group " Challenge#87 "Something New".
Wishing all my followers a very Happy, Healthy and Crafty New Year !!
Sally
