Christmas Kickstart Challenge #9

Time for another "Christmas Kickstart Challenge" and this time the theme is "Christmas Bunnies", luckily I have an older and greatly used wooden stamp from Penny Black dated 1996!! Not sure where I got it but its well loved and perfect for this challenge!

I stamped onto card and coloured the image with Zig markers then cut the framed image, I then stamped again and layered up for more dimension.  I then layered the image onto some glitter card stock for lots of shimmer.  Lastly I added the bells and ribbon, quite a thick card now and impossible to post in the mail but I know the perfect recipients that I can hand this to at Christmas!

I am also adding this card to the "Anything Goes" challenge at the Simon Says Blog.

Off to do some gardening now, we have had lots of April showers here and the weeds are coming up in droves!

Have a great week.

Wedding Card!!

My son asked me to make a Wedding card for his friends in bright colours and with some flowers sitting on my desk from my last card here I decided to use the same colours!  I stamped and embossed in gold more flowers and leaves from the SSS "Even more Spring Flowers" set and then coloured with Zigs and fussy cut.

I then created the words on my computer and cut the hearts.  Then all I had to do was stick the elements to the card base in a design that I liked and added some sequins for sparkle.  Luckily I can post this now as his friends aren't followers!!

I am adding this to both the Simon Says Flickr Group challenge "Flowers" and the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Anything Goes".

Its turned colder here after a glorious Easter so I am back in my craft room catching up.

Have a great weekend.

Spring Flowers!

I was keen to enter the Simon Says Flickr Group challenge which this time is called "Die-ing for Creativity"  I already had this "Even more Spring Flowers"stamp out on my desk so got to work stamping and embossing in gold.  Then I fussy cut all the images and coloured with Zig Markers.

The base and frame  are die cut using the SSS Stitched Square dies, the frame has been stamped with an older SSS Stamp "Bubbles and Bars"

Pleased to get this done as we have a busy week leading up to Easter with lots of visitors.

Have a great Easter

Christmas Kickstart Challenge

Its time for another challenge at the Christmas Kickstart Blog, This time the theme is "Frosty and Friends".  I have this fairly new stamp set from Heffy Doodles called "Wanna Build a Snowman" so this challenge gave me the opportunity to ink it up again!

I have stamped and coloured with Zig Brush markers and then fussy cut the elements.  Next I created the background by distressing with Salty Ocean Distress ink and then cutting a curved piece of card for the snowline.   I then embossed this with a falling snow folder and added the glittery snow using the SSS stencil and some Nuvo paste.

I decided to use a pink card base for a change to match the penguins hats and scarves.
I am also adding this to the SSS Wednesday challenge "No designer paper".

Seems strange to be making Christmas cards in April but my box is gradually filling and I know I will be thrilled in December!!

Have a great weekend

Spring Flowers!

My mojo has been absent lately so after browsing through Pinterest and Instagram I decided to do some colouring and make a Spring card.  I found an old sheet of PP in my stash with this lovely dripped paint design and used that as my base and the theme for my colours choices.

The stamp set is the "Even more Spring Flowers"  from Simon Says which I stamped and embossed in WOW gold, I then coloured with Zig Markers and fussy cut.

Next I layered on my card base and added splashes of gold paint.  Hopefully my mojo is back again as I had two male  Birthdays next week that I need to make cards for.  Male cards are always a challenge lol!

Birthday Boy!

I love this fun "Elephant of Surprise" stamp set from Heffy Doodle and I needed a boy card so knew it would be perfect. First I cut the Happy letter from some patterned paper I found in my stash using Altenew Dies.  Then I stamped and die cut the elephants and balloons colouring in with Zigs to match the colours in the paper. It was such an easy card to put together too.

I am adding this to the current Wednesday  challenge at Simon Says Stamp "Animal Antics".

Have a great weekend.

Golden Blooms!

After making a few kids cards I needed to do flowers again!! So I stamped and embossed in WOW Rose Gold and fussy cut these SSS flowers from the "Even more Spring Flowers" set. I added a little colour to the leaves but decided to leave the blooms white for a more elegant look.  The background was created using Oxide inks and a stencil, I am pleased with the grassy effect!  My mojo has been some what lacking lately and I am hoping this card has kick started it again!

I am adding this card to the SSS Flickr Challenge "Anything Goes"

After a few lovely Spring days we seem to be plunged back into winter with rain, sleet and hail, fingers crossed its going to improve as my daughter is coming down for some of the Easter holidays and we wanted to get out and about.  Hope its better where you are.
