I decided to ink up my Tim Holtz cocktail stamps again and make this feminine Birthday card. I created the background by making a stencil with this Happy Birthday die and rubbing with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink. Really pleased with how this turned out and I shall be hunting through my dies to see if there are any others I can do this with.
I then stamped and coloured the Tim Holtz Margarita cocktail and fussy cut, I also stamped directly onto the card, that way I could add the image on foam tape for added dimension. I then added sequins and some nuvo glitter to the rim of the glass for some added sparkle.
I shall add this card to the Die Cut Divas challenge of "Birthdays" and also the Simon Says Instagram challenge.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend!
Hugs
Sally

Such a fun birthday card, Sally - just love the pink background behind your yummy margarita!! So glad you shared with us at Die Cut Divas!!
Lovely card, Sally. I love your colours and stamp/stencil choice, Jo x
I so like how you used your die to make a stencil and I love the color - so pretty and pink, but not tooooo pink. Stamping and then cutting the main image out to add depth and adding some glitter to the glass rim was a great way to top off this delicious looking drink.
So glad you joined us at Die Cut Divas for our Birthday challenge
Love this one Sally. The background looks stunning in the pink. Love the cocktail glass.
Super clever idea to use a die to create a stencil. It turned out fabulous. Loving the "ombre" feel - lighter and darker sections of the distress oxide. Thanks for joining us at Die Cut Divas.
