Another card set!!

After making this card and this one I thought it would be nice to make another boxed set, for a small Christmas gift.

Here are the last to cards to finish the set using the same "Basic Tree" digital image from Hero Arts.
The top one is a window card made by cutting layers with the spellbinders labels die and some BasicGrey patterned paper.  I have coloured the tree using some fine liner pens and a glaze pen for the berries.
This card is just layers with the background Kraft card stamped with the Hero Arts Old Letter stamp.

Here is the finished set with the box, which I have made using the digital paper design supplied with the digital tree image,  I printed it onto card and then made into a small pizza box with window.
I am entering this in the current Simon Says challenge to use "Die Cuts or Punches".

Another Bling Card!!!

I have made another Christmas card and its perfect for the Lily Pad Bling challenge,  The backing paper is from a pad I found in a sale bin in the local supermarket, its from Paper Cellar and has some lovely vintage looking papers. With this as my base I have just added the scalloped edges, ribbon and bling frame.  I made the scalloped border by stamping the Hero Arts fabric backgound onto some white paper and cutting with my EK success border punch.  Its layered with a plain border in the middle and stitched together.

I Love Bling!!!

I love making Christmas cards because I love bling, if you asked my children they would say I was a bit of a magpie! I am attracted to sparkly shiny things so the Bling challenge over at The Lily Pad is made for me,  here is my first card and I am sure I will be making more!!

Here is a close up to show the gold embossed trees and the row of green and red gems.
Its a beautiful day here in Surrey and it looks like we are going to have a bit of an Indian Summer this week, so I am off to the garden to make the most of it.

Supplies: Hero Arts stamps, CG211 magical background, CL459 Christmas Trees. Distress Inks: Victorian Velvet and Scattered Straw.  Papers from my scrap box.

Moxie Fabs Tuesday Trigger.

This is the fun photo inspiration for this weeks Tuesday Trigger over at Moxie Fab World, there is lots of inspiration in this photograph, I love the colours and the cards of buttons also the heart doily and red flowers jumped out at  me.

Here is my card, the card with the buttons on is actually a vintage card that I found in my mum's old button box.  I just added the yellow buttons and the red heart button.  I have added some machine stitching to go with the sewing theme and also added the ribbon.  I tried a piece of gingham ribbon but found this tartan one suited the card much better.
Hope you are all having a good weekend.

Lily Pad Sketch

I have just made one last card for the sketch challenge over at the Lily Pad blog, I managed to find the Hero Arts Musical Walk stamp in a sale bin at the craft fair last week and just had to ink it up.
The photograph colours are not really true to life as the pink background is quite vibrant.
Just a quick post tonight as I have at last got a new computer and I need to get lots of things set up properly.

This card was too late for the challenge so will have to try the new  "Bling" challenge this weekend.

I have just seen on the blog that this card isn't too late after all, so I can enter!!!

Hope you have a great weekend.

Lily Pad Sketch Challenge.

I decided to make another card for the Lily Pad sketch challenge , I had the idea to create a window where the circle is on the sketch.

Sorry this will have to be a short post as my computer is still running at a snails pace and this is taken ages to load.

A close up of the window, I am going to enter this in the current Hero Arts Challenge for window cards as well.
I couldn't resist playing with that cute snowman again, he is so easy to colour!!

Lily Pad Sketch Challenge.

I made a quick card for the sketch challenge over at The Lily Pad Blog today, its sponsored by Hero Arts and the prize is $50  to spend on HA products.  What a fabulous prize, I wouldn't have any trouble choosing $50 worth!!! The DT have all followed a Christmas theme  and all the cards are amazing so it wasn't hard to be inspired.
My card is really simple, I have used the HA snow globe stamp and masked out the globe so I could just use the snowman image.  After stamping I have coloured with copics, adding some Glaze pen to his hat for shine.  The snow is a flowersoft like substance that I got at a local craft shop.  The PP is from My Minds Eye and it actually was a free gift with a craft magazine!!  Wow love free gifts like this!!

Just thought I would show another card, I was totally taken with this card that Vicky made and just had to get that snowman stamp, such a cute image.  The background is made using the HA snowflake circle and my new pot of Distress stain.  I have only got one to try it out but I think I will be getting more soon, totally love the effect.
My computer is playing up and the bottom of the photo is a little distorted.  Hope I can fix the problem soon.
Hope you have had a good weekend.

CAS Friday challenge #20

Challenge # 20 at the CAS-ual Friday blog is "Mini Cards", I needed to make a set of cards for a small birthday present for a friend so used this challenge to inspire me.

A little while ago I made this set of cards and used the same idea to make this mini set.  The cards measure 4x4.  I ran some low tack masking tape round a piece of card and then stamped and embossed the Old Letter stamp.  I then added lots of distress inks.  Next I stamped the real dill stamp on the image.  After removing the tape I cut and layered it onto some matching card.
I have made four cards using the same design but different colour ways.
My computer is on a go slow at the moment and this post has taken ages to write, I hope I am not heading for trouble.  Have quickly backed everything up just in case.

Sing it!!

There is a fun new challenge running over at Simon Says called " Sing it song or film title. I had time to make this little card last night based on the Beatles song " Baby you can drive my car" I wish my car really did look like this, I would love a flower covered Beetle. ( Thought the car was apt as well as its a Beatles song)!!

The car is a Hero Arts stamp that I have paper pieced,
Its nearly the end of the week and I am looking forward to going to The Creative Crafts show this weekend.  I am sure I shall be very tempted by lots of things!

Practicing my colouring!!

Hi Everyone just wanted share a card that I have made just for fun.  I wanted to practice my colouring skills so I made this by stamping the image onto watercolour paper and then colouring in  with distress inks.  After masking the poppies I then stamped over the background image using Old Paper distress ink and then distressed the edges with the same ink.  The poppies have been highlighted with a white gel pen.

Hope you are all having a great week.
