Christmas Baubles

I decided to make a second card for the Christmas kickstart Challenge this month as I found some really old bauble dies in my stash, I haven't used these for a long time!  I die cut them in glittery card stock.
I also had this old embossing folder with baubles on it so I embossed my card and gently rubbed with some Distress Oxide inks. I then added my die cuts raised on foam tape and drew in by hand the string, lastly I added some sequins for extra sparkle.

I have just had a really busy week with the family visiting for half term, its my daughters birthday so lots of celebrating.  Trying to recuperate before I am off next weekend for a short break doing some wildlife photography (my other passion)!

Have a great week

Baby Boy Card

My daughter asked me to make some new baby cards to have on standby so I decided to make a box card after seeing a few over the internet.

I made up my box after following a tutorial on Jennifer Mcguires You Tube channel I then added the embossed panel to the front of my box. The elephant and balloons are a set by Heffy Doodles which I have stamped coloured and diecut.  The BABY letters are cut using Altenew alphabet dies.  Such a fun scene and the elephant is on clear acetate so moves well in the frame.

I am adding this card to Simon Says Wednesday challenge "Fun with Dies" and also there monthly instagram challenge "Blue".

My Granddaughter and daughter are visiting next week as its half term, hopefully the weather will stay nice and we can go for some long walks.

Have a great week

Two Birthday Cards !

This is a photo heavy post as I have been busy making Birthday cards, its a busy time of year for Birthdays in my family!

This first card is using the Pink Fresh Quadrant Background hot foil plate , foiled in gold and
cut to a slimline shape, I have added it to my card base layered up on another piece of white card. I have then added my die cuts using Simon Says Leafy Branch and Memory BoxVerona Bouquet. I then layered the flower tops on foam tape and added the pearls and gold hot foiled sentiment.

My next card is for a little boy who loves his Lego,  I looked on pinterest for ideas for this one.

I die cut all the shapes and so many dots lol to create the Lego bricks just adding highlights with a white pen.  The sentiment is silver and hot foiled, very difficult to photograph.

Pleased with the end result, time consuming but worth it!
Off now to make more cards, hope you have a great weekend.

Rudolph!

Just before Christmas I found this cute  "Little Clare Design" stamp in my local charity shop, its called "Deck the Horns" and I loved the sweet design.  I inked it up and coloured with alcohol markers, then die cut the circle.  I then added another larger circle cut from patterned paper. Last I added som pearls and the computer generated sentiment.

I shall add this to the current challenge at the Christmas Kickstart challenge "Baubles" . I need to get cracking and make some birthday cards as I have a few coming up next month.  Hope you have a great weekend.

Cocktails!

Just a quickie today, I have just got back from a lovely week with my daughter and Granddaughter but I seem to have come back with a tummy bug.  Going to stay by the fire and keep warm but I wanted to post this masculine birthday card using the "Cocktail" stamps from Tim Holtz.

I stamped my image and smooshed with distress ink in Salty Ocean, I then coloured with my Zig markers. The base is using up a piece of my huge stash of patterned paper, and I decided to layer on a red card to coordinate with the red dot.  I raised the stamped image on foam for more dimension.

I will enter this in the LOVE flickr group challenge "Anything Goes"

Have a great weekend
